I worked my ass off hustling for scholarships and grants and awards. Started early in grade school. If it offered college money, I filled out those forms or entered that competition or wrote that essay. Even if it was only for a few dollars. Even if I wasn’t qualified. Even if I had no chance of getting it. Because you never know…

I also worked nights while going to school.

It was a lot of work, but it kept me from being assraped by debt.

Yes, and now that you have made it…The Welfare Queens and Snowflakes want a piece of that money.

When the Snowflakes were out protesting for “Student Loans” to be forgiven (under Obama) I was outraged.

I’ve met Millenials, who racked up $80,000 in Student Loans for a “Film and Arts degree.” Now they are collecting Welfare checks and shooting up Heroin.

Meanwhile, us hard working Americans that paid our way through college for STEM degrees are being taxed to death to support all of this.

Comp Science major here. I worked two full-time jobs (and picked up a third during summer session) to keep my college tuition under 20k. My white, middle-class privilege right there. I didn’t qualify for ANY scholarships (not that I didn’t apply for everything). My grades suffered a bit, but I was almost completely self-funded and I repaid my loans within 6 years of graduating.

You have no idea. There’s a reason why I moved thousands of miles away without a forwarding address. The worst ones are my family who all think I need to “share the wealth” because they “supported me all those years” – by continually stealing my college savings.

If it’s any consolation, the Sons of Norway turned me down flat. That was a major disappointment. I mean yeah, it’s not like I can prove I’m descended from vikings, but they can’t prove I’m not. Admittedly not on my mother’s side, but even she has no clue who my father was.
