Storm before the calm

Led by the loins
The word bought with Caesar’s coins

Believe or perish
Baptised by those who cleave to the fish

Placing instincts in opposition
One foot in the grave
The other in supposition

Forgiven through another’s stripes
Forbidden to act as nature with other types

Look but don’t touch
Touch but don’t taste

As such as the dust thrust by the wind laid waste

All is vanity
To act
React
And to feel

The highest vanity however, is to kneel to the cosmic gag reel
