Now, before bringing this up, I should mention: I hardly EVER listen to FM radio. I can’t stand the modern mainstream pop music that’s being used out there. It’s fragging HORRIBLE for the most part. I happened to hear a song while I was out shopping around that really got to me, though…and not in the good way.

Demi Lovato, a former Disney Channel star best known for the “Camp Rock” films, released a new song called “Cool For the Summer.”

Here are the lyrics before I mention why the heck this song bothers me so much, and the reasons why I wonder “why the heck is this allowed on public radio, much less why is she allowed to sing it in the first place!?”

Breaking down the lyrics, it sounds to me like she’s wanting an underage girl. What makes me believe this? Refer to “don’t tell your mother” and “even if they judge, f-ck it, I’ll do the time.”

Now, let’s put aside the fact that this could be metaphorical or “symbolic” or whatever. Can you imagine the outcry if a man made a song about a younger girl like that? “Arrest that pedophile!” That’s what you’d be hearing. For goodness’ sake, people tried convicting rapper Tyga for dating then-17-year old Kylie Jenner.

I don’t care much for celebrities, but I DO care when it’s shown how much celebrities, especially FEMALE ones, can get away with.

She is just the autotuned voice and “f~~~-me” face that the music industry feeds “catchy” pop songs to for massive profit.

It’s the MILLIONS of dumb fugly c~~~s that buy this s~~~ and feel EMPOWERED about their sexual abhorrence who are the reason you have to hear this godawful s~~~ on the radio.

I would completely agree there. One must wonder why women are now the primary seductress/temptations these days. I also think it’s fascinating how rebellious women are against leadership, just like Eve was. She didn’t want to be told “no.”

Actually, I had a fellow Christian girl tell me that she listened to a pastor that once said it was actually Adam’s fault for the fall of man, because he gave into Eve’s temptations. Sounds to me like someone was saying “it was man’s fault from the very beginning!!” Tell me how a woman, that already gave into the serpent’s temptation and committed the first sin (technically speaking) isn’t responsible in SOME way!

Holy cow, turns out you’re 80% right about her not writing it! She wrote it…but so did 4 OTHER PEOPLE! 😛

I’m so glad I have my own music selection. Hearing the same 10 songs (if even that) on the radio all day must get boring….to me, at least. I know the rest of society seems to be entranced by the same sounds over and over again…

I’ve heard that bed-time story as well from pastors who had better give the feminists-approved version of the gospels than what is actually written in the book just to keep peace at home. I walked out it in the middle of such a sermon.

I remember “Dear Future Husband” being talked about on here, and that song is wretched. REALLY bad. “Worth It,” I’m afraid of what that’s about. I may have heard it already and don’t even know.

EDIT: I think I just saw it, and that’s…painfully bad. Did I really see them subliminally try to show the words “FEMINISM IS SEXY” for a brief split second? Subliminal messaging really creeps me out at how effective it is on people’s minds.

Fortunately they are finding out the hard way that no amount of “fat is beautiful” “feminism is sexy” propaganda, overt or subliminal, is effective at convincing the male penis.
