Trying to eat healthier. I have been looking at some Youtube videos and learning to cook. Anyone have any good cooks to watch that show you how to cook complete meals?
Anonymous7I always liked Alton Brown.
I’m working on this too. It is getting the timing down on sides vs. main. Which one to start, and when.
He brings the science to it all. I like that.
Try to search Gordon Ramseys Ultimate cookery course…It has basics for just about anything consisting of 100 recipes that teaches you…Informative…

Will do. Looking for nothing fancy, just healthy. Thinking about trying one of those home meal companies like blue apron or something. Maybe there are some step by step vids on those too. Going to search YouTube.
Friend—Youtube and Wikihow have step-by-step cooking instructions and recipes for just about every dish you can imagine. Simple and easy or more challenging. I’ve been cooking for myself for more than 30 years and it’s a rewarding and valuable skill to have. Good luck.

Buy yourself a Crockpot to begin with if you’re new to cooking.
It’s cheap, easy, and versatile !!
Personally, I recommend an older model (made in the USA) that can easily be found in second hand stores like Savers for cheap money.
Many people have had these for years, but rarely used, and then they donate them just to get them off their shelf.
There has been some talk about some newer models (Made in China) may have higher lead contents in the cooking enamels where you actually cook your food.

Crockpot for the win. This recipe is easy and tastes really good. Also relatively low calorie/high protein:

(Skip the corn & cream cheese – i don’t think they’re necessary at all)These guys (they are twins) have some good healthy stuff: pretty easy to follow.
Just teaching myself with Youtube. Trying to find ones that basically go on these home cooking meal services. This guy seems to break it down okay – https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCe2fRcXiChNG4b3wL7wzRHA. Trying to find others. Some of the meals seem, well, complicated. I can do basic stuff, but with Ramsey and some of the other professional chefs, they do not break it down. Maybe I should take a cooking class?
If you are new to cooking, don’t start out trying to do Chef Ramsey or other chef’s.

That’s why I posted the video I did. They are simple, but good and healthy.
