    That’s one f~~~ing small computer.

    Itty Bitty.

It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion, it is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shaking, the shaking becomes a warning; it is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.

Thanks for the post.. I don’t like where tech is headed for!.. It sure won’t free humans. Inventing anything because it’s possible to create it without thinking of the consequences is reckless for mankind!

It’s a cool step in miniaturization but it’ll be a while before it can do anything useful if it’s only 1990 era ‘powerful’. Maybe you can put a thousand of them together and make something useful out of it with cluster computing.

I think the idea is to put it inside our heads and use it as kill switch (pun intended).

Nope. Its size is at least 5x smaller than device required to make the killing itself.

So, basically, this device is much more complicated and densily packed than required for killswitch.

    this is not new.

Just a very simple (ie: not many components) processor on standard wafer fabrication technology.

Add power and something to input/output – then the system gets a whole lot bigger.
