The only woman I can ever see living with is either a Real Bot .. if I can ever afford one .. or someday a holographic whisp that will walk through my walls room to room using some type series projection system in ever part of house and even backyard area.
I believe I’d actually prefer the Hologram even if it was semi-transparent .. in other words I could interact with it verbally and visually but never touch since it has no form .. just an interactive image.
Just brainstorming here .. I can imagine something like a 70’s Hippie Chick, friendly Unicorn type of platonic friend, about five feet tall, slipping through walls with a pleasant smile sharing my living space .. if she was a true nawalt and intelligent enough to earn her keep .. and justify the price paid by providing me with those things that NO AWALT would ever do. Things like a stable and non-combative personality .. things like a pleasant greeting and things like a decent memory for interaction and just plain conversation ability about things that interest me. If she’s custom built, I can see finding her substantially more attractive .. than current CROP of awalt yoga pants wearing offerings seen everywhere in contemporary society.
Yes, there are commercial toys on the market already that want to perform this function, running the house and playing music and selling me junk .. but I don’t jump in to that hook-up scheme any more than I don’t jump into online social media or dating.
If I go Bot .. it will also just be for interacting visually and verbally .. I’m still Monk Mode even wrt to TPR/E and Silicon creations .. at least, for now.
If I do put my toe in water and buy one in next few years .. or sooner .. I want to interact and just get feel for something around house .. at least for starters. Someone sitting on the couch in the space where I work would be a first step.
My abode has been Solitary and silent for so long, it would be change enough for me to come home to Bot, if advanced (someday) .. I can see paying for interaction .. it would have to prove worthwhile to break the silence I’m accustomed to .. in other words, I don’t want to spend a dollar and buy a manufactured awalt .. with AI .. I’d want that Bot to be Unicorn personality .. or nothing at all.
That’s the tricky bit .. the programming of a Bot .. a state of the art interactive housemate needs to be free and clear of everything I’ve rejected that is awalt. Who will program it’s personality is probably more important to me as height, weight and race, eye and hair color.
.. so what I’ll likely do is find myself a very decent Chinese made TPE material doll to begin with and see how it feels having someone around the house .. it’s been so long, I don’t know how I’ll react sharing my space. I might, actually .. not like it.
depending on what I find .. I’ve seen one on eBay and even did an e-mail to the factory in China and they answered overnight .. I was impressed and they said if I want I can pick and choose from all their offerings (head-face, eye color, hair style, height ..
which I’ve decided would be 5’2″ offering .. 158cm version .. since the features of that specific Petite model look so perfectly human and symmetrical and almost intentionally tweaked by each manufacturer
they said I could choose basic garments that they would include .. anything I see for any doll they offer in their store mix-n-match and I have three choices of skin color .. to create what I want .. the prices I’ve seen for a very realistic model are in range of about $550-$650 delivered .. anything less would be a waste and not realistic enough .. that’s still pretty steep for just a non-interactive creation to sit on my couch and keep the place occupied .. we’ll see .. I need to try at some point
I personally feel that the one(s) they offered looked just as good (in every way including eyes and facial detail) as the high priced Chinese creations we’ve all seen here and there in various listings .. either this is a really decent deal “or” those others are way, way, over priced on purpose .. and just looking for people to make much lower offers to the specific sellers
need to begin somewhere .. I know for a fact that my future is Bot (or eventually Holo-image) never going back anywhere near organic .. and I don’t want to spend those sky high prices just to get the feel of having someone around .. A Test run, of sorts for a year or so .. to try one .. if delivery is included .. the seller e-mailed some higher resolution photos … I found it almost scary, eerie, the detail of the eyes .. but that’s the point of experimenting .. and taking a first step .. .. to be continued, I guess ..?
