    the key to marriage is commitment, communication, and compromise.

    If those three principals were applied by both parties then marriages could work. They aren’t.

    Reminds me of the time I attended marriage guidance counselling with my ex wife. She had became an extremely abusive woman. However, after sitting for an hour she had the counselor eating out of her hand. I was so naive at the time I didn’t appreciate that the counselor was clearly a raging feminist. We were invited back but told to come separately.

    I was given a leaflet on how not to physically/verbally abuse my wife.

    She was patted on the head and sent home.
