4 months until the start of college football season. To me, there is nothing like Saturdays in the fall. Especially opening week, it’s truly the most exciting time of year for me.

It is going to be especially more interesting and exciting now that the SEC has proven that they can’t dominate in the new College Football Playoff system. They ruled in the Bowl Championship Series system. Think about this for a minute. If last year there was still the BCS………It would have been Alabama #1 vs. FSU #2 in the national championship game. Alabama would have won by 40 and it would have been another year of SEC greatness. Alabama would have went down as the greatest team in all of college football history, and Saban would have been the 2nd coming of Christ.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not hating on the SEC. I still think Saban is a genius and Alabama is a dynasty. What I am saying though is that it is fun to see other conferences step up to the plate. The SEC bowl season last year was an absolute joke! Never in a million years did I expect that to go down.

Earlier in the season ESPN was talking about how the SEC West last year was the toughest division in all of college football history. Everyone was saying how Mississippi State and Ole Miss (basically the State of Mississippi) were the kings of college football in 2014. It’s just funny how everything went down during bowl season.

I am excited. I mean, I think Ohio State will have 2015 all wrapped up. But I am still excited to see who else steps up to the plate this season. It will be interesting to see if the SEC can regain their dominance once again.

I also wonder if we will ever see anything like we did a couple years ago when Auburn beat Alabama with one second left in the game on a missed field goal recovery to a 109 yard touchdown to win the game. I really wonder if we will ever feel that kind of excitement again. That was the greatest play in the history of all sports. I fear we may not get that kind of excitement (a play like that to win a super important game) again. Maybe we will though, I hope so.

Any other college football fanatics out there? Whose your team?

Hell Yes! Go Blue, lifelong Michigan fan, you can imagine how I feel about TOSU. I love both Pro and College. Michigan has been through some hard times lately, hoping Harbaugh can bring them back to some type of success. I do think TOSU is on track to win the whole thing again.

Yeah, I can understand droughts, Sargeslide. I am a fan of the Texas Longhorns and Tennessee Vols. Both teams have really failed for the past 6 years.

UW fan since the late 80’s, FSU fan since the early 90’s.

So essentially I get disappointment and satisfaction every year, lol. Glad Winston isn’t returning, good riddance to that clown.

The Children of Doom... Doom's Children. They told my lord the way to the Mountain of Power. They told him to throw down his sword and return to the Earth... Ha! Time enough for the Earth in the grave.
