Dont want to hijack thread but does anyone have any suggestion for a credible source of information ? I dont follow mainstream media but when i do want some info i go to reuters. Probably not the best idea.

I don’t know if I would use credible for any news source as most have some sort of slant, and varying things will be off limits, but for me listening to news from outside my country as well as other’s listed here gives me the most well rounded view of everything.

Watching the US Election unfold has been a real eye opener on how much the MSM lies.

I don’t think i’ve ever seen it so bad. The reporting is the exact opposite of what’s really going on and it’s all spin claiming that Hilary is winning when she clearly isn’t.

All of the leaks, Clintons involvement with Saudi Arabia and ISIS have been whitewashed and we just get trivial crap about Trump’s womanising or lies that he’s racist.

The irony is that i don’t live in the US, so my country has no reason to bulls~~~ about what’s really going on, but every day…it’s the same crap. I can barely watch MSM news reporting anymore. They’re just as crooked as Hillary.

What the Internet has done, has made it possible for someone to have information filtered to preferences to such a degree, they never have to see any point they find disagreeable. Things to cluster into such biases, without being aware of such biases, because one believes such is selected by free choice. So you end up in places which end up being echo chambers, and end up echoing what you want to hear, that matches one’s views, and seems to make sense. This bias adds a narrative to make sense of information, and is used to make sense of just raw information, which would just be noise. To be unaware of what is going on, is particularly dangerous.

When you are seeing individuals on the Internet going about with such conviction they are right, and they end up are being seen as contradicting one another, it is because of these biases that the Internet helps entrench. Such is dangerous, but goes with the territory. Myself, I do seek to try to avoid this, and am aware of how much I also can end up getting spun with things. Let’s just say I do end up falling short on things. But I would say my attempt to do things my own way on it, does make me aware of much I don’t fit anywhere. I end up anti a lot of things, from anti-SJW to also anti alt-right, which makes me really not fit anywhere.

The next step that will happen here, is that, if Trump loses, you are then going to hunt around every single place on the Internet for evidence that there is such massive voter fraud, there is no way Trump would of loss without it. What is being show, by polls, is that Hillary is not liked by a lot of people, and has trust issues. This is baked in. What apparently maybe you aren’t seeing here, is that Trump is also seen as worse. This is seen by a lot of people. Who the hell here talks like Trump did about hitting on married women? Do you? Do you do it to impress anyone? He said he did as “locker room” talk. It is entirely possible that, despite Hillary being horrible, Trump is seen as worse. And why wouldn’t he? What you have with this situation is “Fine, Hillary sucks. Why is Trump better?” and you get “Because he isn’t Hillary”. That not being Hillary is the main point of it. Everything else is just wishful thinking, seeing what you want to see, to justify you don’t like Hillary.

This entire thing is a dangerous path, if you go down it, is going to make you increasingly grasping at straws and conspiracy theories that will make the only source of information as being reliable is what feels right to you. In this, you end up just getting deeper into your own biases.

When it gets really deep, all you need to do next is find some others and start conspiring on how you need to do “something”. At this point, you are likely to end up getting some weapons in rage and blowing something up or shooting someone. At that point, you will end up taking everything even remotely appropriate to discuss and flushing it down the tubes. I speak here about the effects of globalization and people being left behind and too much influence of multi-national corporations.

I understand your point. Hoewever, as an outsider i genuinely think Wikileaks has thrown a huge spanner in the works of the election and exposed how biased the MSM is towards Clinton.

In fact, i’m sick of the journalists being completely incapable of doing their jobs.

The sad thing is none of the information in these emails needed to be made public to present a strong enough case to toss her in jail. The evidence was already there, then the FBI decided to come to her rescue and I hope every one of them that contributed to her getting off will be jailed as well. Comey deserves to be put in front of a firing squad.

Well if you want reliable credible information don’t listen to the BBC. The brexit coverage by the BBC and ITV was a disgrace. The frightening thing is just how many people blindly believe it all and will spit at and be violent towards UKIP supporters.
