THE PLANTATION HAS NOW TURNED INTO THE KILLING FIELDS . WOMAN ARE NOW ROLLING CAMBODIAN STYLE .
Cliffs of Dover
Yeah. One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite guitarists. Thanks MW.
When women lead, destruction is the destination. -- Me.
Anonymous42Somebody never put down his guitar! I’d hate to see what he can do if he added peddles!

No doubt.

Doesn’t get much better.

I saw him play this live in 2007. It was amazing that one man can get so much out of one guitar. No looper and very few pedal effects. Just him, a bassist, and a drummer. Amazing.
Do you have / need the TAB for this song?? I have it buried somewhere in my stuff if you want it. SMW.

Oh yes my friend I have it. I think the song is called cliffs of dover in part because of the way the sheet music looks. My God!!! It is peaks and valleys through the whole thing. In reality though I believe the name is from cliffs along the ocean somewhere in Europe, despite Eric being a Texan.

And I thought I was cool taping a beat while playing some lead or rhythm. He demonstrates the importance of knowing all the scales as if he’s speaking them aloud.
He’s using intonation notes in ways my ear has never heard! He’s making his guitar scream, cry, and speak! I bet he’s real fussy about open intonation notes matching on the 12th fret (likely hates guitars that can’t be tuned high and low at the same time. I found many of the older Gibsons have awesome action and intonation, they like to whistle!

Fussy is probably an understatement. I am sure all his guitars were set up by professional luthiers. I would love to try some harmonics on any one of his guitars. Perfect intonation.

Me too. LOL. But I play because I like it, not to impress. I will never be at this level.
Most excellent MW. After our convo, I plugged in my headphones and gave this a listen. Can’t help but really get into it. I even found myself going into some beer fueled air guitar along with it. Bahaha.
A feminist asked me how I view lesbian relationships... Apparently "in HD" was not the right answer.
