The world does not end when the kingdom comes.

I was bound to be misunderstood, and I laugh at those who misunderstand me. Kind mockery at the well intentioned, but unfettered cruelty towards those would be prison guards of my creative possibilities. This so as to learn as much from misunderstanding as from understanding. Taking pleasure in worthy opponents and making language fluid and flowing like a river yet pointed and precise as a dagger. Contradicts the socialistic purpose of language and makes for a wonderful linguistic dance, A verbal martial art with constant parries that hone the weapon that is the two edged sword of my mouth.

This is all bulls~~~! I don’t know what sources these end-of-the-world believers get to think of when the world ends, but they’re idiots! And as far as the guy who cashed in on his assets, Sunday morning when he wakes up and the world is still here, he’ll realize what a real f~~~ up he is!

“End of the world” scares, beliefs, and movements, what sociologists call millennialism, has been around as long as humans have. The phenomena isn’t limited to Christianity or even Abrahamic religions.

In the 1850s, a pair of Xhosa girls claimed they’d met three spirits of their ancestors while out tending crops. The message they were given was usual mixture of warnings, prophecies, and calls to return to moral living coupled with instructions on what actions to take so the British and Boer colonists would disappear and everything would return to normal. (Similar belief systems among people experiencing colonization have occurred before and since such as the Ghost Dance religion which swept the northern Plains Indians in the US during the 1890s.)

Anyway, among the “instructions” the girls received from the “spirits” were orders to burn all the crops and kill all the cattle. Enough of the Xhosa bought into the prophecies destroying their food stocks that over 100,000 people starved to death over the next year.

End of the world prophecies aren’t new, aren’t limited to Western cultures, and don’t always involve poisoned Kool-Aid.

Do not date. Do not impregnate. Do not co-habitate. Above all, do not marry. Reclaim and never again surrender your personal sovereignty.

It’s still stupid! And the guy who cashed in on his assets and his kids’ college is going to realize Sunday morning what a religious nut he is.

Meade’s views are not endorsed by Roman Catholic, Protestant or eastern Orthodox branches of Christianity.

So 99.99% of Christians think its bulls~~~ too.

Good app to calculate how many end of the world’s you survived based on year of birth. Links to all the Apocalypse’s in your time.

    I survived 58 end of the world’s and I’m 52yo.

    Right behind you with 57.

The evil in women’s hearts leaves them no moral bounds as to inhibit them from descending to the lowest levels of darkness to acquire their self entitled desires.

People ask me why I have a problem with religion, read above.

That’s an extremely weak reason. As already pointed out, extrapolated the believes of a few to the billions of Christians out there is a very illogical position to hold.

I have no doubt that I could find some atheists that believe that humans will die out in 30 years do to climate change. Does that mean I assume all atheists think this way?

    Ok. Then do it.

My sisters birthday is on Sept 25th. Does this mean I don’t have to buy her a present?

    It’s the 24th. I’m still here.

Again, no one knows the date or the time, only God.

Don't stick your dick into anyone you aren't willing to put up with for eighteen years and nine months.

He’s actually agnostic, but can’t understand why. He’s also a troll. As for logic, I have houseplants that know more about logic than this clownshoe.

One of my neighbours started freaking out when he came home Saturday morning after an all night bender and discovered that his wife was gone. He first thought that she might have been ‘taken-up’ but then again all the furniture and the dog was missing too….

And yet 99.99% of Christians think that an all-powerful, all-knowing invisible, magical flying man isn’t bulls~~~.

The logical fallacy of the straw man.

Substituting a person’s actual position or argument with a distorted, exaggerated, or misrepresented version of the position of the argument.

    Logical Form:

Person 1 makes claim Y. (I believe in God).
Person 2 restates person 1’s claim (in a distorted way) (99.99% of Christians think God is an invisible, magical flying man).
Person 2 attacks the distorted version of the claim.
Therefore, 2 claims Y (God exists) is false. This is illogical and a bad faith argument.

    Person 2 is a f~~~wit.

I intentionally used the EXACT SAME WORDING AND TONE in my post as you did in yours to see if you could take what you dish out.

I now have my answer. Thank you…
