In a place where actual systematic oppression exists, this dude was attacked and nearly killed.  “That night I stopped being a victim.”  I can’t imagine his story will be very popular with the people who are not only not systematically oppressed but have more rights and privilege than their counterparts, and still claim victim status if a man so much as farts louder than they do.

I guess nobody told this guy that victim status is the goal here.
