Minimum wage here in my country is 15$ an hour. I have a small apartment costing 225$ per month. With all expenses including food, phone, internet, electricity, water etc. All my expenses are about 750$ per month. I work 20 hours per week making about 1200$ per month. And about 980$ after taxes on a minimum wage job. I have never been happier my whole life. I can do everything I’ve always enjoyed and I even get to put 300$ to savings each month for anything important. There is no need to work yourself to the grave. A typical day for me is going to work at 7.00 and coming home at 11.00. 5 days per week. No drama in my life no women to leech of me. Just total happiness. This including cutting all contact off with my Mother as well she always makes me feel like s~~~ about myself. Not doing enough with my life etc. I can’t be ared with her s~~~ and drama every day. Cutting contact have never made me more happy. I realize that is a drastic thing to do and It was also hard in the start. But after a few months my happiness just improved day by day. I´ve seen my father work 50-60 hours a week when I was a boy. He was never happy. It wasn’t until my parents separated he finally became happy in his life. Working way less and going hunting and fishing in his free time. Its such’s an enjoyment to go visit him every now and then. Why should I work all my youth and life away for what exactly? Why do men do this every day? I mean of course there is people that enjoy their work, but how many really enjoy working 40-50 hours a week?.
I just know for a fact that I won’t do that ever. I’ve seen to many men around me do this and they don’t seem happy at all.

    Thoughts?

It wasn’t until my parents separated he finally became happy in his life.

This right here. I am fortunate enough to never have been married, but I figured this out a long time ago. When I did, I stopped doing the extra hours and trying to be promoted. I am happy leaving at 3 without a care in the world. My married managers can worry about all the business nonsense. Now I work to live, not the other way around.
I read somewhere to think about purchases in terms of time spent working. That is ,how many hours do I have to work to pay for something. I stop and think about it now. It’s sobering and disappointing to think about how much time and energy I’ve wasted.

Your apartment only cost $225.00 per month? Holy s~~~, my car insurance for liability coverage costs that much — on a 16 year-old car no less. I gotta get out of this s~~~ hole.

    Anyway, welcome!

True freedom will NEVER exist for you so long as you continue renting an apartment. You need to buy a house. Just don’t go overboard. Something small and simple just for you. Unless you want to work until you’re dead, you need to start working 40 hours a week for a year or two so you can qualify for a loan on a house. Then if you want to go back to 20 hours a week, you can.

But renting is throwing your money down the toilet. In 20 years you’ll have NOTHING to show for it. But with a house, you’re basically putting a large percentage of your mortgage payment into “savings” because it comes back to you because you’ll own an expensive asset (the home) in the end. You basically live rent free.

    Less responsibility is always better…
Having your freedom and sovereignty is priceless…
Women are violators of freedom and sovereignty…
Therefore, I don’t want to be around them and all the unnecessary responsibilities that comes with them.

Haha indeed. I’m in the U.S here, if i handed my landlord 225 bucks, he would ask where the other 500 is.

If my total bills were even only 1000, I could most likely become a millionare within 15 years from savings and proper investment. at 750, I could do it within 10. If Germany ever gets control and ends the current problems it has, I might be looking into moving. God knows I’d love to see something like France or Greece again for either Summer or Winter. Congrats on your freedom and welcome to MGTOW.

There is one benefit…if you want to just not work at all and live off your investments. You are banking 300 a month now. What if you worked 40-50 hours, took home about 2,000, and ended up with the same 750 a month in bills…you could bank 1200 a month instead of 300. If you just want to have enough money kicking around in investments to replace 1000 a month in income and then say f~~~ it and not work, you could probably pull it off in less than a decade if you consistently invest 1200 a month. In the end working 40-50 hour weeks for 10 years is a lot less hours of your life worked than working 20 hour weeks indefinitely.

It all depends what you want though…if you’d like to work part time forever just for something to do, just working part time forever starting now isn’t a bad idea. If you want to just be done working and have 100% free time, trying to do it part time is like walking in a race designed to be a sprint.
