I’d love to, however, in my experience, there’s usually not alot of economic opportunity out there. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice and out of the way, but you won’t be making good money. You might not need good money to afford bills, I’ve worked hard to be where I am financially.

That being said, reminds me of people who leave small towns to go make money in the city and then once they have their money they retire back in the country because the city sucks.

I found One island in the heart of Cape Brenton West Bumf~~~ Nova Scotia, where the growing season is 23 minutes and the winter winds close the main road and knocks over our buses and trucks. You can set your watch to the morning and evening snow storms that come off the surrounding North Atlantic Ocean. You can practice your snowmobiling and survival skills sledding into town getting pelted and battered by rocks and stones lifting from the wind scoured landscapes where the movie Mars Storm was filmed and 3 workers lost their lives.

Yea right! South and West of this s~~~hole stands Mt, Washington, the highest wind-speeds on planet earth! The wind regularly outperforms formula 1 race cars! I have property in Rochester Gap VT, where this weather conundrum cluster-f~~~ STARTS! Snow up the the roof gutters!

It’s Bumf~~~ Nova Scotia, the Land is probably dirt cheap there…

ETA: looked it up after my comment: it’s around 500$ per acre there, factor in some extra $$ for small lots (always more expensive then say 100 acres) and the 2000$ sound about just right…

My 3rd Great Grandfather left Newfoundland to emigrate to the Conch Republic. It’s way too cold for my genes even that far South in Canada. I could barely handle New Jersey.
