Not an economist or sociologist but the financial burden of welfare supporting unmarried mothers etc must logically come at the cost of the state having money to build roads, clean streets etc.

Is this an actual problem planners etc analyse and worry about.

Am I thinking wrong or is this even a concern for governments to deal with.

I know enough that money does not grow on trees and workers can not be taxed indefinitely.

What is the logical outcome. Does gov put a cap on money available?

Does gov reduce payments?

Does gov put penalties on making babies without a support plan by the parent’s ie forced saving before parenting.

Nope, too many people are dependent on it now to try and reverse course cold turkey. Ben Carson has been kicking people off of it from a waste and abuse standpoint, but it’s still a lot of people who are on it and have no other source of income to live on.

Dems wouldn’t allow any policy that kicks people off of welfare anyway because that is there base. They need those people to stay dependent, so they will vote for them. So that’s another obstacle.

And plus it’s not just welfare in terms of food stamps. You got people living in government housing. People that use medicaid, medicare, and folks that are on social security (it needs to be fixed as well). Too many social programs, and too many people on them. Can’t possibly get rid of them now.

People are living longer nowadays, so raising the age of social security eligibility from 65 to maybe 70 would be good. But you gotta remember, social security depends on the younger generation working and subsidizing the older generations. Baby boomers are about to retire and they will be taking a s~~~ ton of money out of social security.

It’s like a bank account, when you withdraw from your account. If you keep taking money out and not put any money back in, you will soon have an overdraft. If the younger generation doesn’t have the jobs to put money back into social security after the older population has taken that money out, then we’re gonna be in trouble.

Here’s an idea…what if to collect welfare, you had to do some sort of work for the state? For instance, pick up trash on the side of the road?

These c~~~s are f~~~ing parasites. At least this way they’d actually be doing something useful. But i guarantee you this will never happen. They’ll find the funding by cutting funding that goes primarily to men like they always do. Maybe they will cut funding for veterans who fought and bled for our country, for example.

The system will need to collapse on it’s own. Remember it’s the system that has created this welfare gargantuan as politicians try to garner more and more female vote at the expense of men. So it will keep going until the inevitable collapse happens. Secretary Carson is trying to slowly turn the welfare spigot off. It is better than a sudden stop for everyone on welfare at once when the crash happens.

Anyone that looks at President Trump’s long term plans are to prepare for a collapse. His plan to borrow/print a trillion dollars for work projects in the U.S. is to repair the U.S. infrastructure to prepare for the collapse.

Some results suggest many use this money to create wealth eg gain skills, start risky business ventures etc cos they alleviate the burden of survival drudgery.

Since robots are going to take away 50% of actual jobs then probably the choice will be between implementing Universal Basic Income and opening fire against a mass of hungry people.

I’m not necessarly rejecting the latter, I just think that most people who don’t like UBI would actually be in front of the machine gun, not behind it. So, in the end, they probably will choose the lesser evil, UBI.

A solution might be to not allow people to vote while they’re receiving welfare. Otherwise, they’ll just keep voting for more entitlements.
