I’ve read the articles and seen some videos, women claiming to go minimal in every aspect of their lives. Some live in tiny houses, some give tours of their sterile looking apartments .. some even live in tents .. or do they?
I’ve never seen a woman who hasn’t had hidden clutter, drawers filled with discards, a secret mess and boxes of … stuff
It may be hidden, they are truly magicians .. but the real minimalist ideal of a single chair next to a clean table, an almost empty closet with only the clothes you use .. this ability only belongs to the guys .. a carefully maintained car or truck who’s only clutter is extra floor mats .. only guys can maintain a clean vehicle
years ago, during high school .. I worked at an auto dealership cleaning trade-in cars, some of the things ladies brought in were amazing .. I remember a car so filled with clutter it was almost impossible to drive, no room at all for a passenger .. another, where the backseat was piled with unopened junk mail almost as high as the windows and the entire pile just abandoned there .. the worst, was the woman who had shoveled a pile of dirt mixed with sheep manure into her trunk directly on top of the carpeting
.. kind of miss that old summer job .. it makes me smile thinking about getting a glimpse inside the awlat’s transport world, inside their vehicle, handed the keys to the woman’s trade-and daring to open the glove box and reach inside .. or, worse yet, removing the rear seat cushion and cleaning out what’s underneath.
.. nope, women can’t be true minimalists, men can actually de-clutter and thrive in a very sparse setting. A guy can be perfectly happy watching a video in a room with one comfortable chair, a lamp and a flat panel screen. Two pairs of shoes is all he really needs to function.
Women need thousands of dollars to decorate, even if their cabin they proudly display in their click-bait videos is a tiny space,
yet, I believe with ever fiber of my being … behind those doors and inside those drawers .. lies clutter, and lot’s of it.Can any woman ever be a true minimalist .. will her genetic tendency to accumulate allow it? .. like the guy who actually lives what he preaches.
Women hoard, they may hide it .. women make the best conjurers .. they probably have clutter inside their magic hat .. women are not minimalists, nature won’t allow itthey are programmed to spend, to buy on instinct .. any and all colorful and sparkling novelties and notions .. and pack them away in drawers, in boxes, in fake gaudy ceramic vases .. and in those closets with closing doors .. all that worthless junk, spending, wasting and accumulating .. it’s in their genes.
Awesome post. Completely agree.
I think it goes hand in hand with a person’s intellect. Most MGTOW are highly intelligent, have a rich inner life therefore don’t need (or actually despise) external clutter. There are exceptions, like true female mathematicians, who would probably also be minimalists, but again, they are the exceptions.
I’m not saying hoarders are stupid, some are also highly intelligent and have a psychological need to be surrounded with stuff. The AWALTs would be minimalists but would, like you said, show off online. They still need attetion and if being a minimalist is the latest trend in their little world, then they will ACT like minimalists. But I’m sure they aren’t true ones.
Is she in Africa? Possibly working in China’s industrial district? Sure.
Is she Anywhere in the USA? Survey says no.
You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home
No.
This is why women can’t really do Buddhism.
A couple of thoughts:
1. Women like to “de-clutter”. But in order to do that, she has to clutter first. They buy a whole bunch of crap they don’t need, and then pay to have someone help them figure out what to throw out. Maybe don’t buy it in the first place? Just a thought.
2. I remember my ex coming home one day with a small table to put in the entryway of our house. There wasn’t really room for it, it went up against the wall in the hallway. But she had run out of flat spots to buy s~~~ and put on top of it. That’s all I could really make of it. Every other flat spot in our house had candles, etc. on top of them. Solution? Buy another flat spot.
3. I also remember a time when she had come home with another trinket and I ask her why we needed it. She said “I swear, you could be happy living in a one bedroom apartment with nothing but a futon and a tv.” And said it like it was a bad thing. I replied “It depends.” “On what?” “How big is the tv?” She thought it was funny.
I wasn’t kidding.

The first house I bought had a long living area. I built a low bookcase down one side of it.
One day a tradesman came to do something (I forget what). He looked at the bookcase (there was nearly 1000 books in it) and the long flat top, devoid of ornaments and suchlike trash and said “There’s no woman in this house, is there?”.

I think this is the real point here. I don’t think it’s so much about clutter/minimalism as it is a matter of what the point of having an item in your home/car in the first place. Men typically are about function. It needs to be there for a reason, and that reason can be that looking at it makes me happy. Or that it just creates an environment that I feel comfortable in. Women tend to decorate for appearances. It doesn’t need to have a function at all, or even make you feel good, just give the appearance that you’re someone who has things, has class, or whatever.
Bathroom towels are the perfect example. To men, towels are for drying things. To women, they are there to make it look like you can afford expensive towels.
Ok. Then do it.

All my life I've had doubts about who I am, where I belonged. Now I'm like the arrow that springs from the bow. No hesitation, no doubts. The path is clear. And what are you? Alive. Everything else is negotiable. Women have rights; men have responsibilities; MGTOW have freedom. Marriage is for chumps. If someone stands in the way of true justice, you simply walk up behind them and stab them in the heart-R'as al Ghul.
Anonymous38Sure there are some minimalist women. Just as there are some hippie types. Where I live there are some real mother earth types. They’re a minority. And will still have female nature of course.
