After getting a woman’s phone number, I tell her “The next time I <insert activity here>, I’ll give you a call”.

When they don’t(won’t) answer, I leave a quick voice mail “Hi, I’m going <insert activity here>, see you there!”

They don’t show up, they don’t call back, nothing…..

The next time they bump into me, they’re always “you should have texted me!”

I respond with “That’s OK, I called Amber, we had good time!” (there is no Amber, but they don’t know that)

My question is:  Do women respond more to texts than actual calls?

FYI:  I don’t have texting on my phone, I disabled it several years ago after getting dozens of porn pics from an “unknown” number.

Yes. Your voice can be used to manipulate them and they know this.

Texting is a way to not having to deal with your voice thundering absolute truths, to which she must immediately reply without sounding suspicious. Try to keep making up excuses on the spot: it’s easier to slip up verbally then when you have all time in the world to construct a text message with very precise wording.

Oh…I thought this was going to be a post about calling VERSUS texting!

I’ve always hated texting anyway. You can’t read the spelling 90 percent of the time, and I’ve always preferred human voice interaction over the phone. And also to stay on subject, when women promise to call/text you, that’s when they usually NEVER do so in the end.

And woman are so unhappy about why GUYS never call them back. It’s a two-way street, sweetheart. Y’all don’t call us back either!

If women think they’re so clever because they use text, let them try Morse code!  (And, yes, ladies, I am a qualified code operator.)

I agree with this. Females are easily swayed by a man with a strong, deep and confident voice and will agree to things that they will later have to weasel out of once the direct influence of that voice has passed and their attention is drawn elsewhere. In addition, voice communication reveals more of their inner mental state so their messaging is easier to control in text.

The only problem is that text leaves a written record of what was said and agreed to… this would be a concern from men who feel the need to say what they mean and do what they say, but it doesn’t seem to bother females who apparently are free to completely ignore anything they might have talked about or agreed to in the past based on their current emotions.

So basically texting works for them in that it gives them cover from revealing their inner mindset while also giving them the ability to hold us to anything we might say or agree to in that medium. As a man, I would say avoid text based communication with a female and just stick to the ones you can meet face to face where our persuasive power is at its maximum.

I think a lot of people are moving away from phone calls and even on mobile phones. Texting is so convenient since the first time it was introduced. I know I do it more on my iPhone than making phone calls. It’s easier because you don’t have to keep to conversation going. You can get back to it later and there is no uncomfortable silences which you get a phone.

Texting will be the new form of communication for the young generation. I have bought used cars, had dates, and set up parties with texting alone. Hated it at first but works good in spotty signals or working in underground spaces (my job).

There are even apps when you can text a taxi, text your order to a restaurant without talking to anyone, even photo text your paycheck!

Also around here cops love to give tickets for any phone up to your ear. I’d rather keep it in my lap where the cops can’t see me.
