For a while I found people coming to me for advice on relationships. I’ve since backed off from people in general. But one of the last guys I talked to, he was trying to figure out his wife’s behavior and whether he should go along with some of her suggestions. I’m pretty open-minded and don’t typically jump to conclusions, but found myself telling this guy it was likely that his wife was planning to leave him soon. He assured me that wasn’t her plan, and ended the conversation on the spot. I felt like I had been rude by suggesting this, but would not have if I didn’t acutely smell poison in the stew.

Ran into this same guy today after several years. I asked him how everything turned out. Well, he found out pretty much immediately that she had been cheating the entire length of their ten year marriage, and they got divorced pretty much immediately, about the time he spoke to me.

His new one isn’t as much of a babe as the first.
