I have long term back injuries but I found low impact exercises to gain strength and mass.

    – gymnastic exercises to achieve bodily fitness and grace of movement.

They have a great plan here. Ill be skipping the first month because Im able too but great for anyone.

These exercises build all around strength so you can eventually do exercises like this

Im also going to mix in some bicep exercises to get those as big as possible.

    Looks like a great plan!
Mixing it up is also a great idea.

All around strength is not enough to learn the flag though.
You have to train to do the flag to do the flag.(if that’s your objective)
Just start attempting it.Half an year tops and you’re ready.

Recent back surgery here, anything with core strength will be the best. Pull ups are great for this. Also look up pool exercise if you have access to water.

    What happen to your back?

I thought what I'd do was I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes...or should I?

Ouch, doesn’t sound good. Best of luck, it’s a never ending battle.
