‘We will prosecute’ employers who help immigration sweeps, California AG says

The state’s top cop issued a warning to California employers Thursday that businesses face legal repercussions, including fines up to $10,000, if they assist federal immigration authorities with a potential widespread immigration crackdown.

“It’s important, given these rumors that are out there, to let people know – more specifically today, employers – that if they voluntarily start giving up information about their employees or access to their employees in ways that contradict our new California laws, they subject themselves to actions by my office,” state Attorney General Xavier Becerra said at a news conference. “We will prosecute those who violate the law.”

Becerra’s warning comes as fears spread of mass workplace raids following reports that immigration agents plan to target Northern California communities for deportations due in part to the state’s “sanctuary” law, which seeks to restrict local law enforcement agencies’ ability to cooperate with immigration authorities

I think the Federal Government needs to ARREST and PROSECUTE California AG, and his lil Minions for threatening to obstruct justice, or whatever BULLS~~~ they’re trying to do in attempt to over ride Federal Law.

Additionally, I would do my best to DRY UP ALL FEDERAL FUNDS to CA. ASAP.

I am all for States Rights but would love to see D.C. ex-communicate CA and force quasi Government operations like those of Silicon Valley to move elsewhere. Let the State crumble, make an example of them.

It won’t happen though, as most in D.C. are just puppets for the hands of Globalists to warm themselves in. There is no wall, there will be no wall, this is mostly a fake fight. Even if ICE does go in I am sure the effort will be akin to putting a single piece of bubblegum in a dam with a thousand leaks. From the Bay Area and south it is basically already Northern Mexico, nothing the Government does is going to roll that back. If D.C. wanted something different it would have happened long ago.

Let me get this straight…the AG of CA is going to prosecute employers for obeying the law? It is so like CA to think they can override the federal government. I understood their resistance to ridiculous marijuana laws…once in a while the State screws up and does something right. As a teacher who was trained in CA, I can say firsthand that the education system is beyond adequate and far better than anything I’ve seen on the east coast. But for them to use the law to protect criminal aliens and strongarm the people who are going to work with federal law enforcement, is downright Nazi in nature.

To have to choose between being prosecuted by the feds for aiding and abetting illegal aliens, or to be prosecuted by the state for dutifully working with ICE, is a power play that will not end well for the State. I knew multitudes of Californians who were sick and tired of the problems being brought in by illegal aliens…not all of them are bad people, but the gangs (which are large in number) are a major problem that won’t go away unless law-abiding and peaceable citizens are permitted by the State to work with ICE. Governor Moonbeam has got quite a few problems on his hands, and it is entertaining to see his possible political demise on the horizon!
