Since my job has given me a decent raise in my salary by only a few dollars, I now have enough money saved up to get the IT certifications I want to get my foot in the door in my field.

The certification I’m going to study for is the : CCIE one. Because of my lack of experience in my field, I know I won’t be earning a high salary, but I’ll be making enough to where I’ll be able to move out of my parents place.

While I’m waiting to move out, I’ll be studying for that certification every day until I know for sure I’m ready to take the test to earn it.

This is just the break I needed because living with my parents is a nightmare. I have to put up with so much gynocentric bulls~~~ on a daily basis.

But, I was wondering, since I’ll be moving out by the end of next January, in your minds, what are the best cities for a young MGHOW like myself to start out at?

If you could do everything differently and were able to make the choices I’m making now, what city would you recommend I move to start a new life? I have some ideas already, but I wanted to get your opinions as well.

i don’t know what city is best for you but i do recommend renting a place close to your work so the commute is short.

    congrats on moving out pal!
i moved out a few yrs ago and it was a great decision…..enjoy your freedom.

    good luck on your certification.
    cheers

I definitely will. I don’t wanna live 2 or 3 hour drive away from work if I can help it at all. If I don’t need a car to get there, that’s even better.

Become a pro at cooking to save money.

I definitely will. What I plan on getting is a pressure cooker and make meals to last me the week in that. I think I might end up making entire chillis and soups as well on occasion.

Research the cost of living in cities.

Well, the cities I’m looking at now are:

    Clearwater/Tampa, FL

    Seattle, WA

    San Diego, CA

    and maybe NYC.

I heard Chicago was a great city as well. I’ve never been there though.

For snacks…keep a pot of boiled eggs. They are cheap and last long.

Boiled eggs are the best. I might end up putting some beef jerky away for snacks as well.

My God, how I love settling in for the night and doing my thing.

Get good habits and life is good.

If you can master being frugal and steady study…life will be good.

Same here. Once I’m out on my own, I’m going to be paying off my student loans and living as cheap as possible. That way, by the time I’m in my 30s, I’ll be completely debt free.

I’m already cheap so it’s easy for me to be frugal.

    Stay in touch bro.

All will be well in your life.

Embrace your journey and fear nothing.

Here on mgtow road, we are all brothers. It is all good.

    Live like a spartan warrior.

Will do. I’ll still be spending a lot of time on this website. And thanks for the advice as well. I’m just glad I’ll finally be moving out and be on my own by next year.

    great idea

currently, i can afford a car, but since a live one bus away from work, i don’t have a car so i can save money, and invest it in assets that appreciate.

If you don’t mind me throwing in my .02, I’d say being debt free and having money saved beats moving out. I’d put up with a little crap because few things are better than having cash saved on hand or resting in a bank account only you know about. Shoot for being debt free and an initial goal of $5, 000-$10, 000 resting in a savings account or envelope in a place only you know about. Cars are a drain; I’m paying my car registration today, in fact. The account will take a big hit but in my situation there isn’t much choice. There are definitely more and better things I could do with this money that I could think of. Ideally you want to live so that you could walk or bike to work or take the bus also for shopping. Cash is also why women beat down doors to seduce men. Education is important in starting off life, but starting off life debt free is even more important, in my opinion. Just saying. Interesting but cheap cities I’d look into are Dallas, Tyler, Austin and San Antonio, all in Texas. And you better like the heat.

I would highly suggest Florida because you can own and carry a gun, with concealed with a permit. The large cities might be a bit expensive, but there are rural areas around those cities where the cost of living is sane.

From what I have heard Seattle considered gyocentric central.

San Diego is part of the southwest California. I know people that live out there. But, you have to be careful and watch your back. If you are a white male.

Chicago is considered one of the most dangerous places to live in the country. With Baltimore being the first most dangerous. Detroit being the second most dangerous.

Do I really need to list the reasons not to go to NYC. Though, besides everything else the cost of living is insanely high. NYC is on the top ten list of most expensive places to live in the world.

I definitely agree with that. I’d love to own a car for the convenience, but if I can get away with not owning one, that would be even better.

I wouldn’t mind doing that, except, that I’ve had enough of dealing with my parent’s bulls~~~. I’d rather be in a little debt starting off than to be living with my parents for the next few years.

Just saying. Interesting but cheap cities I’d look into are Dallas, Tyler, Austin and San Antonio, all in Texas. And you better like the heat.

I’ll look into those as well. I’ve only been to a few of those places before, but I did like them. And I live in Las Vegas…I’m used to temps well above 100 degrees. So the heat’s no problem haha.

I would highly suggest Florida because you can own and carry a gun,

That’s great to hear then. I’ve always loved Clearwater/Tampa FL because they’re also next to the beach and they’re really cheap places to live.

The only reason I’m considering cities like Seattle WA/NYC is because even though they’re liberal central, you get paid really high salaries especially in my field. Plus, there’s a lot of IT positions available.

Otherwise, I’d never consider places such as NYC.

Though, you would also pay higher taxes, higher cost of living and a higher tax bracket. You need to look at these factors before you decide.

That’s definitely true. Most likely, I’ll end up moving somewhere in Florida or Texas. I’ve always loved those states if only because a lot of the residents in most of the cities are tradcons. I can’t stand most people in cities such as NYC. Their liberal mindset is annoying as s~~~.

That’s what I love about San Diego. And in fact, that’s the best thing about that city. Only downside is that you have to deal with liberal f~~~tards.

and a LOT of homeless ..
the weather is perfect for them..
and those liberal f~~~tards feed them, like feral cats you can’t get rid of ..
they wander into restaurants and instead of getting thrown out they get fed..
most are straight up mentally ill and / or meth users..

Yeah. That’s what sucks about warmer cities. Too many homeless. We have a lot just in Vegas alone. They ask me for money all the time. When I have the money, I’ll give like $5 dollars to the ones who I can tell who actually need it. But, the meth heads/crack heads who are panhandling for money suck ass.

I would say both are good choices. Though, since you mentioned Texas, Texas has far less housing regulations. Where as the unions have a strangle hold on Florida. Doing anything to a house in Florida requires a permit and the only person allow to do the work is a person licensed to do so. This is not the cast in many person of Texas.

Pretty much east Texas is nice. But, be aware of flat lands. There is some flooding areas. A topographic map of the area you plan to move to would be wise.

Thanks, I’ll look into that as well. What I love about states such as Texas, is that they have a lot of smaller rural areas next to big cities such as Dallas about an hour’s drive or so to them. You’d be able to have the best of the country and the city.

Good for you! I encourage you to study hard, secure a job, and live life on your terms. Leaving the nest can be both exciting and intimidating. The downside: all the bills are yours. The upside: there’s no curfew, there’s no one telling you to do chores, and you can invite women over for sex in your private bachelor pad.

I think San Jose, CA is an ideal place to live for computer programmers. Many apartments are high priced, but some are as low as $700 a month. If you live in this area, I recommend saving up the extra money you get from your jobs and buy a house in a small city outside of the Silicon Valley. Those communities are cheaper to live in and I think it’s worth it to drive 20 miles to work in order to own a house.

Get a crock pot and master soup making.

I second that. Cooking soup and eating bread is a great way to save money. A meal like that doesn’t cost more than $2 if you buy canned soup at discount stores. If you keep your rent low, don’t splurge on meals, and don’t buy stuff for snotty, stuck up women, you can save up for a house or a condo. To me, home ownership is a much better deal than giving thousands of dollars to some arrogant landlord. If you have to rent a room in someone’s house just to get started during your first few years, I think you should do it. If the rent is cheap, save your money (I keep mentioning this, but it’s seriously important if you don’t want to end up like me: BROKE), and get a place with your name on the deed so no one can f~~~ with you and have your own parking space so the cops can’t give you parking tickets.

Eventually, I recommend having your own private pension fund. If you have a long term investment in an index fund (for a retirement fund), your taxes can be deferred until the day you retire. Imagine what 30 years of saving & investing would look like. I hope you have a golden nest egg by the time you’re 50 years old. If you’re tired of your job and the workforce, it’s nice to have the option of quitting without experiencing a financial crisis. Too many people are chained to their jobs. Don’t become one of them. Give yourself options. Your skills will give you the advantage of moving to different cities if better opportunities become available to you (and you won’t have a nagging wife to tell you she doesn’t want to move away from her social circle). Have other sources of income set up: stocks, bonds, tax liens, rental properties, etc. Most Americans are victims of “the system.” They’re constantly working to pay off debts. Try to position yourself so that OTHERS ARE PAYING YOU to borrow your money or rent your property. Life will be so much easier!

    @funinthesun

I love food cooked in crockpots. What I’d love to end up doing is getting a bunch of meat such as chicken that’ll last me a few weeks or so and some cheap beans and rice with a lot of vegetables to go with it. Then add it all in to the crockpot. Meals like that would last me a few weeks if I portioned it out properly.

To me, home ownership is a much better deal than giving thousands of dollars to some arrogant landlord.

I agree with you there. I don’t think of owning a home as an investment, but I’d enjoy owning a home for life so that I’d be able to choose what I’d want to do with the property. I’d also never have to get permission from a landlord on what to do with it. Which would be awesome in of itself.

Then, when I’m older, I can just move to a cheap city/country to live in, such as Thailand, and have the renters pay for all of my living expenses while I’m retired.
