How awesome is it when you treat yourself to a day of taking your time down the hardware super-store without a nagging Missus and get yourself some new power tools.
Today I bought a Bosch Professional 18V drill/driver set and Bosch Professional 125mm angle grinder.
Im looking at slowly building my tool collection back up and i am really enjoying planning and constructing things again. Gives you a sense of achievement and a bloody awesome hobby to have.
Any lads here bought any new power toys lately? I’m liking the look of the Festool dropsaw.
i am more of a milwaukee power tools man myself, i love that most of the stuff is now battery operated so all you have to do now is just buy the skins
Yeah, Milwaukee is only relatively new into Australia but I have used their gear before overseas and it is top notch.
Anonymous11I like my Bosch multi tool. The cutting capabilities are amazing metal, wood, plastic or wall board. Plus, you cannot harm yourself with it. I’ve touched the vibrating blade that’ll chew through anything with my bare skin and nothing happens.
Anonymous0Bosch is a good choice., with the Lithium Ion battery you have a long runtime. I got a GDX 18V impact screw driver., very good. Normally I prefer Metabo but the Bosch is absolutely o.k. for me.
Hope you enjoy your new tool.Rockwell too. I have Milwaukee and Rockwell tools that it seems they will last forever.
Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?
I have been seriously wanting a 18V skill saw. But I only need it occasionally like when fixing a gate or something. I was looking at a makita this moring but they want 150 US for two extra batteries w charger and that puts me in the 300 US range for the damn thing. I have a nice drill with three batts so I always have it up running when on a all day job.
more throttle ..... less brakes.....
Anonymous42Milwaukee from circular saw to core bore, Rockwell industrial wood shaper, joiner and tablesaw, Chicago Pneumatic airtools, DeVelbiss spray equipment, Badger airbrushes, Dresser compressor and Pexstow Wilcox from blacksmith to power shear, and Airco mig and tig welder, and Miller gasoline stick welder. and a bunch of other tools I can’t name off the top of my head. Husquavarna Chainsaws with unsafty chain rip! Zombies Beware!
My heavy industrial equipment is always purchased used and needing service or parts, I saved 10’s of thousands over the long run. Any thing that takes allot of abuse I buy top notch brand new (reliability). Crappy tools vibrate, jump, scream your ears off, and in some cases outright DANGEROUS!
S~~~ tools: Blackened pecker, Home blite, and a bunch of others aren’t worth it, even if they’re free!
i am more of a milwaukee power tools man myself,
I used to be, but then in short order in the past year I bought a new Milwaukee hammer drill, sawzall, and circular saw and returned all three in days because they were all useless low quality crap. The sawzall was worse than crap; it was f~~~ing dangerous. The milwaukee brand has really gone to hell since it was sold to the Chinese back in 2005.
I have plenty of old milwaukee tools, but I’m not going to be wasting money on any new ones. If I wanted crappy Harbor Freight quality tools, I’d get them at Harbor Freight. And pay Harbor Freight prices. $200 for a brand new sawzall that can’t start without giving the blade a kick is ridiculous.
