I have a friend who has a car ($1000 per month) and an apartment ($1500 per month). He catches so much hell from married couples about paying so much for a car. He has no kids, no girlfriend, and no wife. He lives alone and he makes about $90,000 a year. In my opinion, I believe that if he is content, there is nothing wrong with his situation. Am I wrong? I think most married men are jealous of his life. Do you guys think his lifestyle is ok?

God. That lifestyle is great. Your friend is simply living the dream man. I’d just love to p~~~ off family members with the same kind of s~~~.

The married men always say that he needs to save money. Of course my bro saves cash, but why save every penny to die a rich man? If a man doesn’t have children, he can do what the f~~~ he wants.

I’d just tell the detractors the car and apartment are cheaper than a Wife. And that they are quiet, and don’t nag or sag after a few years.

It’s not my business to judge whether his lifestyle is okay — as long as he’s supporting himself which he clearly is.

It’s his money and he can do what he wants with it. No kids, wife or GF = freedom to do what he wants. That’s how I live my life, so I fully endorse it.

That’s a great lifestyle to be in!

His life style doesn’t not harm others so I see no legitimate issue with it.

Of course married people aren’t happy. He’s not bent over serving some bitch. He is a threat.

Ha, he is still living well below his means. Those around him are shaming cause they are jealous. He is doing nothing wrong.

Buying new luxury cars are a bad investment because they depreciate in value so quickly. Best to buy a luxury car that’s 2 years old or so. Much wiser. If he wants to buy new let him go for it.

Not many guys who earn 90k a year consistently have cakewalk positions, unless they are talented or very clever. Saving for specific goals is smart I think, but saving for the sake of saving when you’re working that hard is a good way to burn yourself out.

Definite butthurt going on there. Its not my fault you have to throw away a percentage of your income on disposable Disney crap that will end up in a landfill in 6 months. Its all about the choices one makes.

From what I’ve heard from others you can find these things used for a considerable discount. Their owners got bored of them and replaced them with the next greatest thing. Probably even not that many km on them.

The sheeple hate it when a ram refuses to join the flock. Let him go his own way — this is an impossible concept for a sheeple to grasp; their brains do not work that way.

If it makes him happy, who cares? It’s his money.

That comes out to around $20k year. For a $90k salary, that isn’t going to kill you. It’s his choice and sounds like fun, but isn’t the wisest way to spend and enjoy your money, IMO.

Personally, I don’t get THAT much out of cars, so wouldn’t spend that much on a car. And I would not pay rent like that for any extended period of time. I’d rather own a home, pay less for car, and go on a couple nice vacations a year.

    Ok. Then do it.

..I hope 3 years from now I can be that guy. For a lesser price of course.
I will be like that guy. F~~~ing awesome.
