Burt Reynolds has passed on to the great beyond at the age of 82. What really strikes me is what a picture of youth and virility he was during the prime of his Hollywood career. For the last 5 years of the 70’s he was one of the biggest stars and by then he was already past 40. Hardly a wrinkle and a toned athletic physique. You would have to look very hard to find a woman of that age looking so good.

    RIP.

I know its s stupid movie but I love Smoky and the bandit.

I also liked Cannonball Run. Farrah Fawcett at her hottest. That’s a good one if you haven’t seen it. Tons of cameo appearances. Even a very young Jackie Chan.

Yeah I like Cannon Ball Run as well, its actually pretty funny. Remember Adrienne Barbareau and some other blonde using their big t~~~ to get out of speeding tickets? Yeah, those were the day.

Wha? The Bandit’s gone. Yep, he was a most uncommon fellow. R.I.P. Burt. The bandit and snowman are back together again and Smokey (Jackie Gleason) is waiting to put the cuffs on ’em.

RIP Burt. He was one of the last from Hollywood that was not fanatically judgmental.

I’ve only heard about him. I know none of his work.

If you want a good guy movie, The Longest Yard. Burt is a former college quarterback who ends up in jail on trumped up charges. He ends up putting together a football game against the prison guards. It’s a good combo of funny and action.

The two movies above for a straight comedy.

The animated show “Archer” had an episode where he voiced his own character. Great episode. Season 3, “The man from Jupiter.”

    RIP Burt.

Damn I hate to see him gone. I loved Smokey and the Bandit. I’m glad to see him free of that super c~~~ Loni Anderson. It’s a shame that death can only sever a divorce noose! RIP!

Nobody is going to mention DELIVERANCE?

You may not know the movie, but you know the song (Dueling Banjos)…and perhaps you know the phrase “Squeal like a pig, boy.”

The other Burt movies mentioned above are stupid fun, but Deliverance is a serious film. (And sadly, almost all of the trailers are crap…don’t poo poo the film due to the bad trailers you’ll see).

I did a Ton of background on the Bandit Movie, they still meet up at the house every year that was featured in the film. This years turn out is going to be much larger.

You are all alone. If you have been falsely accused of RAPE, DV, PLEASE let all men know about the people who did this. http://register-her.net/web/guest/home

Yeah I have seen Deliverance. Fun Fact: Reynolds did the stunt on the waterfall scene and seriously f~~~ed himself up. I think he broke a few ribs and cracked his tail bone. The current was so powerful when he emerged from the rip tide he was naked!

Another thing I would mention is the director: John Boorman. I LOVE John Boorman. His movies are not always good but they are always interesting and you never know what you are going to get.

The Excorcist II, Zardoz, and Excalibur are all really weird and off putting but fun to watch.

The original “Parker” which he directed starring (I believe) Lee Marvin is a must watch film. It is directed in a very original way and is a great action scene.

SPOLIER: Its about a guy who is f~~~ed over by a woman during a robbery and seeks his revenge when he gets out of prison.
