So basically, I’m getting really bummed out with the future of the human race. Maybe the Internet was a mistake, I don’t know. I just see a ton of people struggling to grasp basic f~~~ing concepts yet putting themselves on a pedestal of being “enlightened”. I swear, I just need to be alone on the Moon or something for a few days.

humans are drowning in knowledge, but thirsty for wisdom.

MGTOW is not a movement, it is a way of life.

I have been there. I found a way to deal with it.

I took a short vacation, less than a week, to a town in a tourist area. I rented room in a nice hotel, with a window to the outside. I turned off my cellphone, did not give anyone my room number. And besides going out to eat and see a few sights within walk distance. I stay in my hotel room enjoying the quiet while I listened to music, watched video, and surfed the web on the hotel internet.

It was a very peaceful experience that allowed me to relax. And when I came back to my normal life, I could handle things better.

I highly suggest you do the same. If nothing else, you will feel better. Just don’t go to a play during a party week or weekend.

Hey, it’s not worth getting bummed out over. I have got bummed when thinking about it, and look at it this way. People have more or less always been this stupid, but thanks to the internet we can see every village idiot instead of just the one in our own village. People are s~~~ty, no doubt about it. Take all this intellectual s~~~ with a grain of salt, because odds are everyone else is making fun of idiots like them. It’s really easy to get burned out on people, that’s why I limit myself on how much I’m around them. It’ll all be okay, dude. I think most of us have been there. Just poke fun and laugh at them, helps me out quite a bit 🙂

    I can completely relate, KOTS.
Don’t count on “people” to give you a sense of anything good. Count on yourself and treat yourself well because no one is going to do it for you.
I gave up on “people” a long time ago. I used to be outgoing, friendly, charming, funny, goofy and helpful, all in the hopes of creating some kind of give-and-take and a sort of mutual trust. All I got for my efforts was being taken advantage of and taken for a fool over and over again until I realized I could not take my case for a generality.
I was a fool for thinking that people could be taken at face value, that most people wouldn’t lie unless it was to protect others, that people would value me for who I am and not what I could bring into a deal, a friendship or a marriage. I was a fool for trusting and thinking that my naivete wouldn’t be taken advantage of.
Burnt out on people?! S~~~, I’m flamed to a crisp. I’ll never let anyone in ever again. I’ll never trust anyone again besides my children and maybe a few guys on this great website.
I learned how this world operates and although it ripped my heart out the whole process made me wiser and stronger. Thank God for that.

That’s the problem with the internet….drowning in knowledge but unfortunately a lot of that knowledge is made up BULL S~~~, mis-information, and completely wrong. In my opinion (and am not the sharpest knife in the utensil drawer sometimes)…. no one is accountable to their words and activity on the internet, and the same people carry that same ideology into their everyday life.

One personal example…. everyone I work with has an opinion on any given topic, unfortunately they are 90% wrong most of the time. P~~~es me off, wish I could tell them all to keep their mouths shut if they don’t know the right answer.

Misinformation is more damaging than the truth in many cases…. I need another beer!

It seems that we all “hit the wall” with humanity at some point. I think that early in life our thoughts are simply too shallow to be able to fully fathom the depths of human corruptibility. Over time though, after much living and learning, it begins to dawn on us that humanity may not be what we thought it was. This realization can be a real punch in the gut and tends to taint our outlook towards humanity going forward.

Its important to remember though that there is duality in humanity and that there is a brighter side out there as well. The question is how do you turn the humanity coin over to get a look at its brighter face? Faust suggested a vacation and that is certainly worth a try. That may help take the focus off of whatever negativity is at the crux of your current frustrations.

Once you have stepped back from it you may be in a better position to identify just what it is that is bumming you out and then you can take steps to change or avoid it.

I think I am starting to sound a bit “preachy” here so I am just going to call it quits for now.
