Anonymous3In my country we dont use bumper stickers, but what I want to talk about is usually said to be “Bumper sticker philosophy”.
Or a quote from Predator…
Actually this is a very useful philosophical concept that is little understood in our days by our spoiled kids, the social justice warriors, political correctness, and all the entitlement issues.
My first contact with this idea was with a friend of mine and a story from his time in the military. He had a weekend leave and he arrived late on Monday due to a delay with the train. He got punished, and since it was not his fault he asked why. They said simply: you could have use another train.
The simple truth is that the army would not work if it had to contend with everyone’s concept of fairness. So, they simply do not care. If s~~~ happens, then you take the heat for s~~~.This is a liberating concept. I later revisited it in Zen, in a nicer form. This time the question is “why things happen” or “what is the meaning of things”. In Zen there is no possible answer, things happen because of all the things that happen. There is no single reason or deeper meaning to whatever happens, except the fact that it happened.
Mathematically the same concept appears with the fractals and the theory of chaos. What we call chaos is simply a process that is not predictable, because it involves so many variables and influences. We understand chaos as something random, while this theory says that it is not, it only appears random because we cannot understand the complex organization. The following fractal image is an example of the simple process and complex result.
So, life is fractal in its nature. We try to think it can be explained, but it cannot, it is to complex. The only possible human understanding is: s~~~ happen.
So, what about justice and fairness? They are only a human construction, and therefore only apply when people want to.
Nature does not use justice and fairness. Is it fair that the lion kills the buffalo? Does the buffalo deserve that luck? And is it fair that the buffalo eats the plants? Do plant lives matter?
This might appear to be a fatalist and negative post. But no! It is the opposite!
“S~~~ happens” frees us from the tyranny of a fairy-tale world and puts us right here, on the real world.
It is dangerous to be the guy that believes in fairness and justice, convinced that others share this beleive.
News flash: s~~~ happen, and girls have no problem of putting in jail men who did nothing. They dont care about fair, unless when they use it for leverage, manipulating your beliefs against you.
In the real we have to deal with what is, and not what it is fair or right.
Men, OPEN YOUR EYES!
Do not turn your backs to women, as you would not turn your backs to any wild predator.
Do not live with women, as you would not live with a wild hyena.
Do not marry women, as you would not expect any feral beast to be steadfast. They will stab you in your back. They will eat you alive. They will leave you.
This s~~~ happens!
Well said, Zen.
When women lead, destruction is the destination. -- Me.
