With the Vegas shooting come a new gun control debate and that is on bump-stocks. What people do not realize is that they were not made for the accuracy one can find in a fully automatic firearm. The Vegas shooter did not shoot so many people because he had a bump-stock, he did so because he had a great tactical placement. A US Army Colonel recently stated that the Las Vegas shooter would have most likely done even more damage if he had used normal semi-auto shooting because he would have been more accurate. Using bump-stock is “spray and pray”, it’s a novelty most shooters (including pepper’s and militia) do not use.
What concerns me most about bump-stocks being banned is not bump-stocks being banned. A Senator from Connecticut has already stated that the next step would be a Universal Background Check (aka National Registration) of firearms. It has always been the same with the gun control lobby: Give them an inch and they will take a mile and demand the entire highway. They don’t want to ban a novelty, they want to ban guns and have said so many times.

What they fail to understand is that the American People will not tolerate the 2nd Amendment being taken away. I for one would fight for it if I had to and it may have happened already had Hillary been elected. She openly stated that she would consider a “Forced gun buy-back” and used Australia as an example. What she did not understand is that the USA is not Australia. We have more firearms than we have people, at least 2,000,000,000,000 rounds of ammo and God knows what else. ANTIFA has been arming up for a year, Patriots have been arming up for generations. The American military is not the greatest force on earth, the American Patriot is and they include military, veterans, LEO’s and much more.

Why should I be punished and have my rights revolked by the acts and intentions of others?

Isn’t that truly what made America different in the history of the world? Individualism? No guilt or penalty by association?

America’s dead gentlemen, the acts of the few now spoil life for the multitudes.

Only tyrants will be at the helm under this old and reestablished ideology of communism over individualism.

The only practical purpose of a bump stock would be suppressive fire, and that need wouldn’t arise very often.
I am not in favor of banning them at all, but I would discourage someone from buying one because they don’t have much practical use.

I think the “gun show” found in the hotel room was just that, a gun show. There was no need for all of that stuff up there no matter kind of carnage the so-called shooter had planned.

Bump Stocks were created to assist shooters with a Handicap Use long guns. Nothing more, nothing less.

Like every other invention it is used by a group other than the original one.

A start would be to enforce the purchase requirements, not the best and a restriction nonetheless, but better than a ban or a total restriction which seems likely.

We already have that. Its called NICS. Every gun dealer calls them for long guns. Some states have their own check system for handguns.

It will be very unlikely there will be an outright ban on firearms.

It is way easier to turn everyone into felons. Noticed this trend a long time ago.

People who are in favor of strict gun controls or bans on firearms (because let’s be honest, that’s the objective) are not anti-gun… they are, in fact, very PRO-gun… just so long as those guns are in the hands of police and military forces that THEY can control.

How else do you think anyone is going to take away my guns? With flowers, tea and yoga poses? No, they’re going to come to get my guns with their own guns… bigger, scarier and far more powerful than the ones I have.

This is the bottom line of all “progressive” programs… taking away what I have produced and acquired for myself by force at the point of a gun.

Progressives LOVE guns… and they will use them to pick the pockets and carcass of every productive citizen until there is nothing left.

Not in my state and not in most states. The difference between NICS and the UBC is that personal trade would be restricted without paying for the background check. I don’t want the US government to know what I have or sell. It’s not their business. MY business is to revolt against tyranny and will do so. That is what the Second Amendment is about. If we find ourselves against a tyrant, it is not just our job but our duty to fight that tyrant

The proposed bill and consequences of, is outrageous, the politicans forwarding it need to be immeadately removed from office and punished by the citizens. This is an act of war on the American people by the politicians and government which seeks to disarm and enslave the people to the ultra rich globalists. The government no longer serves the people, this regime must be abolished. F~~~ the stars and stripes, its a facde the Orwellian rulers hide behind. Oppersion is easier when it cliams the face of freedom.

    Regarding a Universal Background Check:

I’m not too knowledgeable on gun laws but this guy bought 19 rifles, all different manufacturers.

That in itself should have been a red flag in the absence of more thorough background checks.

Anyway. Still waiting for camera footage from the hotel of him carrying in large pieces of luggage (that had the firearms and ammunition in them)
