Yesterday some dumb social justice t~~~s launched this “international program” that would, get this, let casual gamer girls in competitive shooters call down surgical strikes from an elite cadre of high end gamer chicks on people who “harrass” them in game.

The live stream launch of this totally legit anti-bullying project was doomed from the word go… and within an hour of it going live, the whole thing was exposed as being faked and full of s~~~.

Metokur was quick to summarize. Get your chuckles in before some blue haired c~~~ DMCAs the video.

The corporate shills in publishing should cater to the social justice demographic more often, sure it equate to huge deficits for them, but it would certainly be entertaining for us. I’ll just reiterate what the I’ve commented on one video so far(may have been No Bulls~~~ or RGE).

Even without the fact that this may have been a huge f~~~ up in marketing dumb headphones and other merchandise, the premise is retarded to levels I thought weren’t possible.

Isn’t it a point of these games to kill other players anyway? Unless someone is totally anal about their k/d, it’s normal to be killed and to respawn, kind of what’s expected. Will very hardly stop “bullying” anymore than simply blocking or muting anyone actually targeting you, if any.

Back when I was younger and had no one else to play with, trying to play some games with my sisters was always a pain. Super Smash Bros., something where the whole point is to beat the s~~~ out of each other, well, they’d fuss whenever I hit them or beat them at it. Unfortunately it’s this kind of attitude(combined at times with stupid buying game currency bs) that has caused things like gtav online to all but lose their fun. People can say what they want about the online modes in iv or Red Dead Redemption, for example, but at least they didn’t let people turn on some dumb safe mode or punish people for playing how one normally would otherwise.

The funny part for me is that the entire message here is “We’re going to fight bullies with more powerful bullies.”

Imagine this in a school yard setting. A 12 year old boy tells a 12 year old girl that she “throws like a girl” so she goes and finds the 17 year old pitcher for the school softball team and has her throw a ball at the boy’s head at top speed.

The appropriate response here would be for the girl to say “okay, show me how to throw it right” or for her to get off the field and maybe go play somewhere else with other girls who also don’t care about skill and ability.

Scaled up to society as a whole, the message that’s being sent is “If I’m not good enough, I don’t have to try harder to compete with you on a level playing field, I can just call in a mercenary to take you out. Skill, ability and quality of outcome for everyone is less important than me getting revenge on you for being better than me.”

It’s feminism in a nutshell. Those who can’t compete cheat and wreck the game for everyone.
