Build a Simracing Community – Its a Problem?

Hi Folks, new Member from Germany here. I dont really sure if this fits here, but, i want to tell something to you and kinda want some oppinions from you if this is something thats is rightfully joked upon. My Family and most of my Friends just got some kind of “Strange” face and look down on me if i tell them, so heres the Story:

3 Years ago, some Online Friends and me Founded a Simracing online Community. We were quite Succesfull untill now. We have 2 Leagues Running, having Live Streams of the Races with live Commentary and even got Officially Registered . Now we have Sponsors, work with real Racing Teams and our Members and Racers Pay and can win Stuff at the end of a Season, starting from having nothing.

I, for myself, are Simracing since 4 Years, having Participated in Official Contests, founded a Racers Academy to help newbies to get into Simracing for 2 Years and done this all without help.

 

The Problem is, i dont make a living out of it and everyone i know is looking down to me while i am want to feel Proud. Am i wrong?

History if full of people that blazed a trail or innovated, even in entertainment, and were laughed at.

You don’t make money in simracing.  So what?  Do you pay your bills and fulfill your responsibilities?

Slap a MGTOW logo on your car then wait for everyone to ask what that means.  “Männer gehen ihren eigenen Weg”

The only man that you have to answer to, is the one looking back at you in the mirror.

Its just hard to keep up the belief in yourself if everyone around you acts like you waste your time, and yes, i do what i have to do to pay my Bills.
