This is breaking on FOX News this hour. Senator John McCain has been diagnosed with brain cancer.

To think, this guy could of just wrapped up being president several months ago if he had beaten Obama in 2008.

I hope he pulls threw. Never want to see anyone go down with something like that. Even if i don’t like him, i still have a heart. But maybe, the governor of Arizona can step in, take McCain out as Senator and name a new interim Senator until a special election can be had.

Karma has a way of coming back around.

I have read the negative stuff about McCain.
I don’t wish the man dead but I do wish him out of the Senate and off the Armed Forces committee.

What might have been if he and Palin won in 2008?
Who knows but I suspect we would now be saying Madam President Clinton <shutter>.

I figured that was the case. Blood clots are rarely the size of three fingers.

Here is the link to the background information from a few days ago: /forums/topic/what-is-going-on-with-senator-john-mccain/

From the recent articles, McCain’s people are still trying to sugar coat this. When a brain tumor is removed, part of the brain is also cut out, along with nerve connections cut within the brain. The larger the tumor, the bigger the trauma to the brain. A tumor this size, in the location they were talking about, I would not be surprised if he was already bound to his bed.

People do not bounce back from this type of surgery. I predict McCain, if he is still conscience, will be given the option of retiring immediately, with the appearance of a gracious exit. Or, he will likely be forced out within a month or so.

I agree, he used to be good senator but he sold out years ago.

Senator John McCain Diagnosed With Aggressive Form of Brain Cancer, Primary Glioblastoma…

It appears from the reporting the initial operation removed cancerous tissue (a tumor), not necessarily a ‘blood clot’ as originally reported, and clear margins were achieved. Unfortunately this type of cancer can quickly spread to the brain stem where the primary function of respiration can become quickly effected.

(CNN) – Sen. John McCain, 80, has been diagnosed with a primary glioblastoma, a type of brain tumor, Mayo Clinic doctors directly involved in the senator’s care told CNN exclusively. The doctors spoke directly to CNN Chief Medical Correspondent, Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

The senator underwent surgery to remove a blood clot on Friday at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix. Lab results from that surgery confirmed the presence of brain cancer associated with the blood clot.

Glioblastoma is a particularly aggressive tumor that forms in the tissue of the brain and spinal cord, according to the American Brain Tumor Association.

A pathologist was in the operating room during the procedure, a minimally invasive craniotomy with an eyebrow incision, said his doctor, who added that the surgery lasted about three to four hours. Post-surgical brain scans show the tissue causing concern has been completely removed.

[…] McCain is now recovering at his Arizona home. He and his family are considering treatment options, which will likely include radiation and chemotherapy, his doctors said. (read more)

It should be noted that chemotherapy has almost no reasonable way to offer a positive treatment outcome. The process of chemotherapy itself is only possible because the blood brain barrier protects the brain from the affects of chemo itself.

Because of this inherent and natural physiological defense system, when dealing with a brain cancer traditional chemo-treatment most often cannot get to the source of the rapid cellular compromise caused by the growth of cancer.

I wonder how many people were spared brain cancer due to stroke? Gotta think positive!

My father died of a brain tumor and I watched what that cancer did to him over the 27 months he took to die. There are very few men upon whom I’d wish that fate.

John S. McCain III might be one of those few men.

On 29 July 1967 USS Forrestal CVA-59 was conducting flight operations in the Gulf of Tonkin. At about 1050, a fire broke out on the flight deck which killed 134 men, injured more than 150 others, destroyed dozens of aircraft, and sent the carrier to the yards for 7 months at a time when she was needed.

Lieutenant Commander McCain was on the fight deck in his A-4E Skyhawk that day.

The fire began at or around his aircraft.

His father was CINCPAC at the time. His grandfather was a decorated WW2 admiral.

His part in the accident was never fully investigated.

Instead, the accident report is full of the weasel wording typical of an organization desperately trying to put an incident behind it. A Zuni rocket is “thought to” have been fired from an unoccupied F-4B and “believed to” have impacted with an A-4E’s external fuel tank. The vague nature of the final report has raised questions for fifty years because flight deck operations have been obsessively recorded first on film and then on video since the ’40s.

The films exist because I’ve seen parts of them. I’ve seen parts of them because the Forrestal flight deck videos are still used by the Navy as part of it’s constant fire fighting training. Ask any USN service member active, separated, or retired if they’ve seen Learn or Burn and you’ll get a grimace along with a story.

Brain cancer is a profoundly ugly way to die. So much so, that if diagnosed with it, I’d kill myself first.

I honestly don’t know what to think about McCain’s diagnosis.

My father served in the ASA, the Korean and Vietnam wars. He and his team were captured while on patrol but managed to escape prior to being transferred to a permanent POW came.

For nothing else, Senator McCain has my respect as a veteran and for his time as a POW.

Years? He sold out at least over a decade ago. He was senator when I was in high school and didn’t like him then.

F~~~ that McCain warmonger rino traitor

My dad also died of glioblastoma 12 years ago
PS: It progresses super fast. Pretty soon he’ll start forgetting names and his way home.
I am curious how long will one last when he has a ton of money to fight it.
My dad had surgery and chemo – got better, but 12 month later he died still. Doctors would not operate on him for the second time

Bros I’m going to be deadly serious with you both, John McCain is one of the biggest single handed killers of US servicemen in history. I am NOT talking about “sending boys to war” type of kills. I mean by direct activities, he actually managed to achieve a record number of confirmed kills of US servicemen by his actions in the US navy.

134 dead US sailors in ONE incident. An incident started because he wet started a plane which ignited a fireball behind his jet and triggered the missiles of the jet behind him who he was trying to prank scare.

How did this escape the public knowledge? The incident and McCain’s horseplay involvement was covered up by his admiral father John S. McCain Jr. The fire nearly sunk a US aircraft carrier and caused $72 million dollars of damages (equivalent to $517 million today).

He f~~~ed up 4 planes and through f~~~ery nearly downed another plane. These are f~~~ing planes, not crashing jeeps in accidents. When John McCain f~~~s around, he f~~~s up to LEGENDARY levels. If he single handedly got 134+ kills of VC he would have been given a goddamn medal of honor. I’m surprised Vietnam hasn’t already done so. He was a one man killing machine (just killing his own team).

He also basically resulted in the US ending its North Vietnamese bombing because too many pilots were being downed as a result of John “songbird” McCain giving the VC all the information of flight paths which allowed the Vietnamese to down most US aircraft.

If there is a hell for traitors of the US, McCain is going to burn in it WORSE than Benedict Arnold.

He could have served his country by NOT serving and saved US lives.

Mccain is a traitor. He was a member of the Keating Five. McCain was one of the most foul-mouthed, insulting, horrendous legislative members. He would scoul and threaten citizens who were speaking before their government. It’s all on YouTube.

Red pill comes to us all in our own time. You blue pillers just don’t see how feeling sorry for this guy is a part of our own suicide.

We men just never learn, do we. Always fall for the pretty devil, no matter the disguise.
