I own an ebike. I’ve previously done some reselling and used the bike to pick up video games, books, small stuff. Stuff I could buy and normally add £5 to £20 and sell. Never made great money, more like kid money but I was starting to develop a skillset and I think at the moment I could make £50 or £70 a week steady.

I liked it because I fealt like my own boss, liked riding around on my bike/the lifestyle, and fealt kind of smart to myself for finding a niche – I could take on small mark ups and still make money vs someone spending on petrol. (I get like 40 – 43 miles for a 10p charge).

Basically flip items around from ebay, gumtree, facebook, also sourcing from bootales and charity shops. I stopped doing it a few months ago. Want to pick it up again in the summer. Was never that good really. Needed to get better at it for it to replace a job but it was something cool and fun to do, and I think I could have gotten better at it. Taught me a little about how a market works in a way also.

I’ve been thinking of approaching some local take aways also, and offering them delivery service. Either just work for them or sell the idea to them and start doing delivery with them if they don’t have delivery available already. I would try this for tips if they don’t want to spend money paying me. Or set a surcharge for home delivery.

Thoughts? Been thinking if I go with set delivery charge I could expand it and treat it more as a business than a self employed thing. I could basically take a couple of small restaurants in an area , get their trust up then hire someone to do the job , and take just a small cut from the charge. Move on, rinse and repeat around different local areas. Small scale thing for a bit of cashflow. Read/watched a bit of Kiyosaki stuff and been learning about cashflow. Have none/no investments yet. This would be my first step if I could build and outsource it.
