I had the opportunity to work on one of these a few months back. An old friend of mine has it. IT is an excellent compact 9mm on a par with the Astra A-75 but a bit lighter. And 199 is a great price; good for you. Check out what they go for on Gunbroker.com

Looks like a great find.
I recently picked up a retired Italian police Beretta 92s for $300, carries 15 rounds. If I didn’t already have my Bersa Thunder .380 I would pick up this Star. It seems comparable to the Thunder for its compact size.

Spanish stuff tends to fly under peoples radar and you can get it cheap, plus theres a lot of nonsense out there about spanish built guns, shame as 99% of it is actually very serviceable stuff, not built to be pretty but functional.

The “everydayman’s” guns nowadays are super cheap and still reliable. I think it’s due to advances in technology, manufacturing technique, and material.

Not to mention the availability of cheap surplus police handguns. Internally they tend to be in better condition (spend almost all of the time riding in a holster), while externally worn from being carried all the time.

Search completed sold listings only in gunbroker. Ignore anything with no bids.
