Body Cam Recommendations

So shopping around for a body cam. See this thread:

Do you have a body cam, what body cam do you recommend, etc.

I’m ideally looking for something that’s:
-no fancy wifi bulls~~~, just save to an SD card for evidence purposes (also SD card gives it scalability in terms of storage space)
-USB connection for file transfer, it can double as a flash drive if I need it to.
-USB connection should also supply power, basically so I can plug it into a battery bank. Battery bank will double as an actual battery bank in case I need to charge on my phone, but otherwise just seems like an extension of the camera. That way I get super-long recording time, plus I don’t have one extra thing I need to charge.
-I really like the clip form factor, no need for it to be a full-on pen
-Needs audio

By far the easiest video device I ever used (USB) and interfaced to a computer to date! WAY EASIER THAN THE OLD DAYS “IEEE” (firewire)/(wetwire)!

It makes a new file every 10 minutes consecutively, no long videos to search through just open the 10 minute segments to find what you’re looking for.

Remarkable clarity in audio and video including low light!

I’m happy with my purchase.

The problem I find with these discreet bodycams is that they don’t have a very long runtime on the battery. So not only do you need to kind of conceal a camera lens on yourself somewhere, but then you need to run a wire to a large portable battery charger bank to keep the damn thing running all day long.

Well you don’t need to crank it, you can leave it off but have an easy-to-access recording button. Not 100% protection, but you should be able to see most s~~~ coming. Kind of like a gun won’t protect you in 100% of situations, but having a gun that you forget about but can quickly draw if you feel threatened is better than not having anything.

The cheapo camera is coming in tomorrow, I’ll report on it when it comes in.
