I see gifs of this all over tumblr, and back in the day I would argue against s~~~ like this. Women always complaining that men are shallow and ignoring the facts. Bitch, you lied to a prospective partner. Great way to start a relationship, huh? In all seriousness though, I did online dating for a few months a while ago. I even mentioned in my profile that I prefer plus size women (I actually do). And yet I only got one date with one girl. She ended up blowing me off for unexplained reasons after that. I guess even fat women are very picky and have incredibly high standards and demands.

If I saw that I wouldn’t feel bad, I’d be assertive and tell her how deceptive she was to do that and walk away. That’s a pretty big ‘test of expectations’ and I’m not going to be pushed around with that kind of dishonesty, nor does it make me a ‘better person’ for sticking around; it’s just people are to scared to be assertive.

because of all of this fat acceptance bulls~~~ that i had to deal with while growing up; i always had to be nice to the fat girls..

I had this happen to me twice in life, back in the early 2000’s when free online dating was new and actually fun at the time. And in both cases… yup super hot profiles pictures.

In both times when we met…. well the first time it happened we were to meet in a mall (she had given me a description of what she would be wearing), and I spotted this waddling whale walking and smiling beeline towards me, and it clicked in my lizard brain (I felt the same way that one feels like when they bring their car to Canadian Tire for mechanical work and get the bill….. don’t do it, ever Canuck brothers). I basically felt like I was tricked plain and simple.

I stopped in my tracks and shot her a look that she knew automatically what I was thinking and I did a 180 and walked away.

The second time it happened ( a little wiser since the first time ), we were to meet at a parking lot, leave our vehicles there and walk to a coffee shop. She had given me a description of her vehicle and vice versa. When I pulled into the parking lot, found her car and spotted her stressing that poor car’s suspension…… we locked eyes and I didn’t even stop, kept driving…..away speeding up!
