Note that in Canada there aren’t hordes of gangs like in the US. In addition Canada has a rather homogeneous population (90% white) which means there isn’t a whole lot of racial conflict going on and thus crime is going to be quite low. Gang life comes from poverty and conflict with opposing classes. If you are cop in the US you have to deal with on a very large scale each and every day, nobody give them credit for that.

Not to say diversity is a terrible thing but most countries are fairly homogeneous as far as race, cultural background and heritage. You are now starting to see conflict theory in Great Britain, Germany Scandinavian countries with the advent of millions of Muslims. Only a matter of time before the you guys too will feel the effects of large scale unchecked multiculturalism.
