Bill Cosby is ready to hit the road.

Less than one week after the star’s sex assault trial ended with a hung jury, Cosby’s team has announced he is planning a motivational speaking tour to warn people about what he views as the dangers of the judicial system.

Cosby was charged with three counts of felony aggravated assault for allegedly drugging and sexually abusing Andrea Constand at his Pennsylvania home back in 2004. Prosecutors are determined to retry him.
Cosby’s rep Andrew Wyatt told Fox News he’s received “hundreds of calls from civic organizations and churches requesting for Mr. Cosby to speak to young men and women about the judicial system… These groups would like for Mr. Cosby to share that people in the judicial system can use their powers to annul deals for personal agenda and political ambitions.”

He added all speeches made by the once-celebrated TV personality will be free.

Cosby is a f~~~ing genius. This is an act of “public relations ju jitsu” worthy of a Trump or a Cernovich.

We all know the backlash against unfounded sexual harassment and assault claims is growing quickly. Trump’s DoJ has put colleges on notice and lawyers, ever ready to earn a buck from human misery, are filing more suits against the mentally ill liars and the people in authority who help them. Cosby’s speaking tour is timed perfectly to catch that wave.

Consider the following, note the ways Cosby and his handlers are spinning it.

– No one has to pay anything as Cosby is going to foot the bill for the entire tour. No tickets, just invitations handed out to groups.
– Cosby is only going to speak in front of groups which already asked him to speak. The audiences will be predisposed to listen to him.
– Cosby’s wife, who everyone agreed was the most convincing witness in the trial, will be touring with him. She’ll be there to assist, agree, and, most importantly, amplify. Cosby won’t have to tell how much the accusations and trial hurt him because his wife will do that.
– Cosby himself is very frail and legally blind. He’s going to toddle out on stage supported by someone and be helped into chair. People will have sympathy for him before he even opens his mouth.
– Cosby is a masterful story teller. He made his fortune with a conversational comedy style. No string of jokes like Youngman or Dangerfield, he told stories and made observations like Carlin and Seinfeld.
– Cosby knows how to read an audience. Again, he made his living doing just that. While his message will remain the same, his delivery of that message will be tailored for the audience of the moment.

There will still be people who won’t listen to him. They won’t be in the audience however. They’ll be causing scenes in the streets outside further damaging their own credibility.

This is going to be fascinating to watch play out.
