hey guys, i’ve been lurking around for quite a while (and silently agreeing with most of what’s being said on here, since it quite correlates with my experience here in Germany/Switzerland).

today I ran across a rather funny story on RT which featured a Russian female motocross biker taking part in the Paris-Dakar rally, and in particular a filmed moment where she fell, could not lift her bike, broke in tears, and signalled other rallyists going by (100% men, of course) to help her. the majority did not, but then one French guy stopped and lifted her bike.

    here’s the video:

the funny part is that this girl (other than not being able to lift her own bike – which is btw usually a must-have requirement in motorbike driving licenses) seems to be a relatively skilled motocross rider, and came in 75th in the overall rankings, while the French white knight guy who helped her came in 88th (with a difference of ~5 min to her, after he lost probably 2-3 min on helping her).

and the really funny part is what happened when I commented on RT Russian (I’m Russian by heritage) saying that, you know, the French guy is a gentleman and all, but this is a really hardcore sport, basically the toughest rally in the world, and if you, as a woman, take part there, but can’t even lift your own Enduro bike (not exactly super-heavy) and have to signal for your competitors, hope on their mercy/compassion and sacrificing their rankings for your sake – then maybe you should do something that you’re better at – well, the resident girls and whiteknights basically went berserk on me, calling me all sorts of insults, of which “you’re not a man” was probably the most polite.

don’t know how you see it, but to me it’s kind of strange. what’s next, boxing where a woman can hit men but men can’t hit her back?? wtf, seriously…

I would have stopped, help pick up her bike, and then roll it off a hill down into a gully. The last sound she would hear as I’m leaving would have been maniacal laughter.

my point exactly. I was also taught to lift heavy bikes with my back, not with the upper body (though I could probably lift that Enduro with my arms fairly easily as well – I am a relatively heavy guy and can bench over 80kg/180lbs). but IMHO that woman is simply unqualified, a total amateur who doesn’t even try to do it properly (at least it’s not on camera). yet she’s in the Dakar rally placing 2nd in the female motorbike rankings and all the feminists are cheering for her exploiting that poor French idiot guy.

1 other guy on that RT Russia thread pointed it out, too, with the same – logical – argument that she didn’t even lift it properly. and yes of course, exactly the same female/whiteknight hate rained down on him, as well.

I often think that people kinda overestimate Putin, you know…. everyone in the West says that Russia still has the traditional values and whatnot. no folks. not anymore when it comes to women or even generally the millennial generation. feminism and white-knightism is already deeply rooted within the younger generation of 20-25 even in Russia. and I should know, having talked to many hundreds of them.

I love the Dakar rally!!!! The toughest of the toughest!!!!

Problem is she doesnt get the pyhisics in vovled. For one thing shes trying to lift it up hill. She gets halfway up, and then continues to try, useing whats left of her strength.

    She instantly gives up!!!!!!

Crys and demands some one to stop and help.

There is allways some raceing commrardery, and if your a fellow back marker theyll stop and help.

    No trophy this time!!!

Practice picking your bike up for next year!

Hardest thing I ever did was get my ATV (4×4) heavy SOB, out of a swamp, I thought I could make it!

It looked like a 4 wheel paddle boat in reverse or forward, I was past my b~~~~ in mud after struggling and saying allot of curse words at the top of my lungs, my buddy helped me “JERK” it out of the swamp with a long strap and allot of speed, each 4,000 lbs of “jerk” moved it and the massive mud glob about an inch, it took about 2 hours to get it out!

Maybe our French brothers can tell us if she was calling on the camerman to help or telling him to p~~~-off and stop filming? Either way he is there to document the race, not be ground-support for one of the competitors. The bike was lying flat on the ground for f~~~’s sake, it’s not like it was bogged up to the seat in a mud hole.

They should have just left her there, kicking sand in her face with each pass.

There’s a few funny points here:
1 After she couldn’t get her bike back up, the passing bikers threw dirt on her.
2 She needed a man’s help. Strong and independent women my ass.

Several years ago I took a bit of a spill on my GSXR750. Tried to pick it up the wrong way (facing the bike instead of back to the bike) and got a compression fracture of the S6 or whatever the bottom vertebrae is. F~~~ing hurt. Good news is I got a s~~~ load of Vicodin for a while and then it finally quit hurting. All good now.

Grown-up girl pouting because she can’t stand a bike up. Why does society keep ignoring the obvious factors. I don’t necessarily think women should be excluded from these things, but the standards shouldn’t be lowered either. It’s a competition, if she can’t fix completely predictable/normal problems, its obviously not the right sport and she hasn’t really earned any credit anyone is giving her.
