Several posters have experienced female cashiers trying to hit on them after viewing their account details.

Spread your money out between several accounts with different banks. Keep most of your cash in a brokerage account or money market account. Only transfer what you need to your main checking account. Don’t flaunt your wealth.

Don't stick your dick into anyone you aren't willing to put up with for eighteen years and nine months.

Absolutely, live a modest low key life. Diversify your savings and investments.

I work in a bank and I deal with them all the time. While there is some truth to what this poster is saying never doubt the stupidity of women. We have a fat single mom looking for a boy friend here and it is remarkable how adept she is at picking out the alpha males, who are no doubt sexually appealing on one level but are absolute financial disasters otherwise, in favour of men with a healthy bank roll.

Just last week one of the other CSRS tried to set her up with a customer who owns his own business, is very loyal, kind, funny and actually really handsome. But… she doesn’t date short guys so that was out. Another guy was too scruffy (he had 100K in the bank) yet the absolute loser who is unemployed and has no money she absolutely swoons over.

    That’s why she’s a single mother.

Good! I wouldn’t want to see another hard working man get worked over by the system. Single mothers don’t deserve opportunities at cash and prizes.

I haven’t been to the bank in awhile, and only because I need cash in something other than $20s. However, I’m not sure the teller could access my balance as I was still required to use my ATM card, and specify the amount of withdrawal using a terminal. All the teller did was hand out the cash instead of the machine doing it.

    Ok. Then do it.

Like dealing with waitresses and female cooks, keep your actions polite, professional and to the point.

Let them think/do/talk/flirt as they please, it’s not like you just can’t smile, chuckle to yourself, and still just walk away…

They won’t be flirting with me when they see my measly paychecks.

    2 what?!?
the SIZE of his uhhhhhhh check…. he’s HUGE !!!
2 Yeah, he pays himself well. He owns his own business.

Could you please post more details about that ? Are those brokerage accounts pretty safe ? And also, invisible to the tellers ?

I have an online brokerage account with Schwab. Its just as safe(or unsafe) as any other bank account that could be accessed from the web…which seems to be most accounts these days. I have literally never talked to a Schwab employee face to face or gone into a physical Schwab location.

I try to avoid female bank tellers at my local branch, alas that seems like an impossible task. Never seen a male bank teller where I do business. There must be a reason for that…

I was once told the following by the teller, which I am sure was easily heard by the other clients at the bank:

“but sir, with all that money in your checking account, you should be investing it”

I looked at her and politely said :

“Next time, could you say that a bit louder so that everybody can hear it ? If I want investment advice I will seek an advisor, not a teller”.

Suffice to say, I hate banks and such interactions only fuel my hatred.

I had one go from being grumpy to smiling and bubbly reading my first name off her screen after she swiped my card. It was like seeing the sunrise lol
