Best Drinks Recipes…

I’m assuming this in the right forum…

Aside from the go-to with beer, I think it’s a good idea to share some decent mixed drinks. I am in the process of getting some dinner together, and I like to start with a c~~~tail…

I have a minor twist on the gin an tonic that’s great when it’s hot.

Juice of a full lime
Jack Rudy’s Tonic (3/4 oz)
Plymouth gin (1.5 oz)

Shake it up with ice. Pour in a high ball glass. Add 2 hits Angostura bitters and 2 Fee Bros Lemon bitters. Top it off with soda…

Doesn’t get better than this when it’s hot, fellas.

I like to taste the spirit I’m drinking not disguise it with fruit juice or whatever. No offence intended.

As an asside I found that 1 tab of acid plus 1/2 a gram of amphetamine was f~~~in’ awesome in my younger days. Followed 8 hours later by 1/8 of hash to chill out of a Sunday morning and lots of good music. Then a hot bath or shower and to bed alone, or with a nice young lady who didn’t want the party to stop.

Oh happy days…….Sigh

I’m a big Scotch fan, but in drinking neutral spirits, I like to go with juice. FWIW, I think you’ll find my take on a gin and tonic much nicer than the stock variety.

I’ve not much of a drinker, but I’ve recently become fond of the whiskey sour:

1 oz. simple syrup
2 oz. lemon juice
5 oz. whiskey

Combine in a shaker with ice, shake for 30 seconds, serve with a maraschino cherry for garnish.
