Hey guys as some know I kinda wanna be a personal trainer in the U.K and wanna do that part of the fitness kinda working environment as well as promoting health and well being kinda fields and want to do since i wanna help people but some people have pointed out some of the negatives and pit falls of that form of work.

    Some of it being:

    1. effect on health mentally and physically
    2. have to be fully flexible on working hours
    3. social life might suffer
    4. in a phrase ” living for the clients”
    5. Become demotivated

These kinda put a lil bit of a negative spin on my ambition on becoming one but I though instead of giving up fully on it I could turn it into a small/part time business and make money some other ways if possible which would even being a plus be related to to health and fitness and or even general well being fields of employment if possible as a huge bonus.

My thoughts so far are to do with:

    1. land lording: can be good form of passive income but can have problems starting off and with uncooperative tenants

    2. Life help/motivation/coaching: would slide in nicely with my PT course in also helping people with their life goals and ambitions but also hear some really good and bad things about the field of work

    3. have another part time job: could be good form of secondary income but could conflict with PT business or may get U.K taxed a lot from it

These I admit are my best ideas so far I know im only 26 and wanting to do stuff like and maybe i do as one of my friends say have my heads in the clouds wanting to do all this different type of stuff but i dont wanna be stuck in an office job feeling like a zombie if i can help it.

Any feed back advice or suggested plan of action on this or other ways of earning money would be great to hear back form you guys about.

    Cheers

    – Casual Guy

A hard one to answer, for it depends so much on you as a person.

Take time to think about yourself, what you like and what you don’t. Choose something which aligns with that.

I understand you’re probably sick of ordinary jobs, so you’re clutching at ideas to escape that. I was there once myself. Get some money behind you while you can.

Maybe travel and think about your next move during that.

I have known a couple of Personal Trainers and one of the perks of the job seems to be having sex with a lot of their clients. The companies they work for officially condone this, but in reality a blind eye is turned. Even the guy that owns the gym has been f~~~ing a few of them.

I don’t think any of these women are married but his is in his mid 20s and the women all seem to be in their mid 30s early 40s.

I assume this happens to you as well?

For women, everything eventually boils down to Alpha Fucks, Beta Bucks.

Hey Brother – Why don’t you put all your effort into this first and see where it takes you.

Once you ARE a personal trainer we can start looking at other options.

You might want another job for example that ISN’T in the industry. My 9-5 for example is in a office and I’ve just got a PT job in a gym for extra cash.

I’m sat down all day at work then I get to be a bit more active in the evenings. My FT job also lacks a lot of social interaction so it’s also good to counteract that.

    My 2 cents 😀

from my experience, i keep work work and play play. i love the gym but wouldn’t make it a job. then i would feel like i am always working. also, personal training is basically a dead end low to barely average paying job. the top earners would make much more in another line of work if they gave that much energy and effort elsewhere that requires some kind of advanced schooling or training. if you can figure out or learn or know how to run a business, then personal training would work but it would be a retail service business first, actual personal training second. working for a company/local gym isn’t going to pay well.
