NOT TRUE! Surely most of us will be aware of ourselves or of other men we know or knew whose failures in life are or were primarily or exclusively caused by their involvement with a woman or women and who but for that could have achieved great success and a life of happiness instead of failure and misery.

But I ask – can anybody in this forum actually name any “GREAT” man in world history who really owed his “greatness” to a woman in his life? OK – Who are the greatest people ever in the history of the world? I suppose it could be said the founders of the world’s religions could be so considered?

Let is examine their lives. Jesus Christ was not influenced by any women it seems from birth to being crucified apart from his mum (the virgin Mary)? He seems to have been an MGTOW guy in that his only involvement with any women seems to be in casting demons out of them or forgiving them for their sins. There is no record in any of the Bible of him ever having had any kind of affair and all his disciples were men. So clearly if he was indeed the greatest person who ever lived on Earth (as some claim) his greatness had absolutely nothing to do with any woman being behind him.

Founders of other religions do not seem much different? The prophet Mohammed married a well to do widow called Khadua 15 years his senior but she did not apparently have any influence on his life or the founding of Islam either. Siddhattha Buddha actually married his cousin Princess Yasodhara at age of 16 and during the time he was with her it is generally recognised his life was totally confused, full of mistakes and devoid of wisdom until he decided to leave her and his palace at age of 29 to “seek enlightenment” which he duly found. Then he became the very great and wise man learning about the Noble Truths and other pillars of Buddhisam, that is only after he had been divested of all contact with women did he become one of wisest people who ever lived.

Charles Darwin apparently had little involvement with women throughout his life and particularly during his voyage on HMS Beagle in 1831 et seq. but he did marry his cousin Emma Wedgewood but she apparently played no part in his epoch making discoveries on the origination of species by natural selection.

Apart from religious leaders have any one of the world’s greatest inventors or scientists or statesmen or military leaders ever really owed their greatness and success to being involved with a woman or women. Albert Einstein did marry a Serbian student but very soon divorced her and once he became a sort of MGTOW guy, he became one of greatest scientists ever and propounder of the theory of relativity.

I actually have a beautiful painting that portrays Buddha stealing a last glance at his sleeping wife as he leaves his palace. I hang it in my bedroom above my bed. Couldn’t find a copy online, but here’s another one that shows Buddha visiting his palace in the city of Kapilavatthu. Notice his wife’s desperation as she’s being comforted by his maids.
