    I once knew a guy who trained himself out of criminal habits by taking oriental martial arts and doing oriental meditation practices. Well, more than one guy actually — the story is long.

    In addition, I know of many “gave up crime and went straight” stories about chess players. I even met some personally, all of whom learned the game in prison. (Yet another long story.)

    I believe the same is true of video games, and any and all endeavors that require one to focus intensively on self improvement. Making your mind and body do something over and over again seems to be a good thing.

    I do not agree with him on video games. I’ve seen brain studies that say video games can make the brain work better. Otherwise, I’m all in.
