I have always been enamored by Batman as a child, and in many ways I can truly empathize with him. Something about his clandestine double life always seemed so appealing to me. A billionaire by day, and a crime fighting vigilante by night. He is the definition of an obscure, yet genuine hero. He has no true super powers. He is just a mere mortal man with sheer determination and years of rigorous training with the League of Shadows. He is emotionally damaged, like me, with mommy issues. His net worth from Wayne Enterprises allows him to have the resources to adapt to any obstacle he faces, which I find to be completely badass. This allows him to eventually outmaneuver his enemies, and defeat them. If he fails the first time, he ALWAYS goes back to the drawing board to get the job done.

However after watching some batman animations, I realized there are bits of Red pill knowledge thrown throughout the entirety of Bruce Wayne’s existence. In this segment, Batman rejects Wonder Woman. He realizes that having any attachment to a women will only subject him to the whims of his enemies. In Diana’s (Wonder Woman) planet, she is considered royalty, but Batman is not swayed by her flirting gesture. He is able to maintain his stoic demeanor.

Throughout the entirety of Batman’s life, women have thrown themselves at his feet, and still his demeanor never wavered. Talia, Selina, Poison Ivy, and a whole slew of women have attempted to cloud the Dark Knight’s judgement with the allure of love. At times he would fall to his carnal desires, but knowledge always allowed him to prevail over his emotions. His steadfast adherence to his principles allowed him to fulfill his job effectively. He always knew that a women would simply complicate his already complicated life.

Due to his apathy toward women, he was able to be a more powerful combatant. Women have always been able to use sex to subjugate and neutralize men. This is perhaps a man’s greatest weakness. However, Batman is able to flip the script, and use this to his advantage. He is able to see through the veil of female mysticism, and see their true colors.

Despite all of this, Batman was not infallible. In the original comics he took a total of 3 juveniles under his belt: Dick Greyson, Jason Todd, and Tim Drake. All of these pupils would become the venerable boy wonder, Robin. I believe Bruce did this to maintain his legacy, and to satisfy his inherent desire to be a father figure. I sense that every good man has an innate want to pass on his knowledge to his next generation, and this would be no different for Bruce Wayne. This sliver of love, would be his tragic flaw. Bruce considers his greatest failure to be the death of his 2nd protégé Jason. Jason was pummeled to death by the hands of perhaps the most demented villain ever envisioned, The Joker. This death forever changed Batman to be more cold and calculating. He learned that love only created weaknesses, by which his enemies could exploit. Batman never truly loved again after this.

In conclusion, I believe Batman/Bruce Wayne is the epitome of how a MGTOW should emulate his life. His humanity sought to have some notion of love, but it only would jeopardize his effectiveness in combat. In order to combat the darkness, he truly had to embrace it. He snuffed the one light in his life, love, to become the Dark Knight. After this, he swallowed the metaphorical red pill, which revealed to him that love is nothing more than a fool’s errand. At this moment, Batman used his logic to prevail over what little subjective urges he once had. This pill was bitter, but this allowed him to swiftly dispose of his enemies with sharper precision and dexterity. In the end, this only made him more powerful.

Therefore, we MGTOWs should all strive to be more like Bruce Wayne.

Batman knows who he is, while I enjoyed the Chris Nolan movies they didn’t portray Bruce Wayne well, with the whole Rachel thing.

    Batman/Bruce Wayne is a MGTOW

Knight, I’m assuming you’ve read the comics as well? Which issues are the best?

Yes I have. I’m a huge fan of the Under the Hood series. This series really puts emphasis on Jason Todd, as he is my favorite of the Robins. I believe this is when Batman takes his metaphorical red pill. The death of Jason had a profound impact on Bruce. After his death, he didn’t leave anything up to chance. He didn’t risk his heart being broken again. Even Nightwing could sense the change in Bruce’s demeanor. I personally love comic books where heroes have experienced loss. With the loss comes the opportunity to gain a much needed virtue. For Bruce it was to abstain from women (emotion), and to shield himself with knowledge and truth. This combined with his rigorous training, is what allows a mere mortal to bring down a kryptonian God (Superman). That is a testament to show how becoming a MGTOW is true power.

I love the opening line. ‘Patience Princess’ So condescending in a backhanded insult. How could she not want him? He devalued her in two words without insulting her. She just has to win his affections now. Then she submits ‘I know’ in a defeated sigh. Game on. So she s~~~ tests him in a classic by the numbers power game. You can see the ending like a trainwreck. If he had caved to her flirtations, she would have instantly rejected him for the checkmate. ‘Saved by the bell’ you could see her smug smile. Woman love and hate rejection in a single thought.
Good lesson in that little clip.

Nicely said. I’m just beginning to read comics so I’ll take your word for it and start with that issue.

I go on this site to read them — all good quality and free.

There are some comics I will be buying though like Thief of Thieves, Postal, and The Punisher.

    @ Joey
Dude I’m gonna have to check that out. I have the actual copies. I’m a Batman fanatic. He is by far my favorite superhero in the DC universe. He has more depth than any character I’ve come across. In the Marvel universe my favorite character would have to be Magneto. Just another character with so much depth.

It gets updated regularly and has all the comics you’ll ever need.

As for collecting comics, that’s just too much for me and I don’t have the space required to store them, but I do buy the ones that capture my attention quite well and are collectivized in a few volumes of hard copies.

Damn straight. Batman sees the it for the cat and mouse game it is. Batman uses this knowledge to simply walk away from the game. In the end, this makes Diana want him more.

Yeah I only buy the ones that captivate my attention. The entirety of the Under the Hood series is just way to f~~~ing epic to not buy, so I did. Another series that is phenomenal is the Man Who Laughs. It shows how demented and twisted Joker is. He is my favorite villain in the DC universe due the ambiguity of his origin story. The Joker is the most surreal villain I have come across in either universe (DC & Marvel). The only villain that even slight compares to his sadism is Carnage from Spider-Man. All other villains are nowhere near as insane as him. It’s exactly why I love him.

I’m not a huge fan of the series, but I really liked Mark Hamill as the joker. I would watch that just hear his crazy f~~~ed_up laughter.

I love Batman, and the Dark Knight is one of my favorite movies (thanks Redpillbible), but I don’t know if he’s that MGTOW. He is trying to salvage a corrupt city instead of walking away from it, but on the other hand he also saves lives, which is what MGTOW does. It’s an interesting question.

True, but I I would say he is more MGTOW than not.
