I remember listening to one of Tom Leykis’ radio shows where he talked about women wanting men to change after they get married.

It’s interesting how a woman can tolerate her boyfriend’s bad habits or hobbies at the beginning of their relationship, and then get p~~~ed at him for doing the same old thing AFTER THE MARRIAGE. I don’t get that. In some cases, the woman could be doing crazy stuff with her boyfriend: staying up all night, sex in the back seat of the car, partying at night clubs, watching sports and drinking beer, smoking pot, etc. They’ll tolerate his tacky apartment, low-wage job, video games, and his sports car.

BUT AFTER A FEW YEARS OF MARRIAGE AND HAVING A BABY…

…the inner bitch comes to life! She can’t tolerate any of the fun stuff—even if she was doing it too! I’ve never been married before, but I can imagine how much of a mind f~~~ that would be to a newly-married man. Now she wants you to be a responsible, upstanding pillar of the community. You must get pay raises, or a better-paying job. You must make more money!!!

Sell the sports car and buy a minivan. Stop getting high/drunk. Stop partying at the night club. Stop asking for wild sex. Stop playing video games and watching sports and pay more attention to her while she’s talking about her problems. Her problems are YOUR problems and it’s up to you to figure out the solutions. So spend more time working and also spend enough time giving her attention so she won’t stray from the relationship. That’s the mission. Any volunteers?

A picture tells a thousand words:

A tranquil mind is neither happy nor sad, it is uninfluenced by external conditions.

Yea they treat the boyfriend like a husband because they want to become a wife, and when boyfriend becomes HUSBAND, they treat him like a red headed step child who they have to reward with sex after they do a good deed

    Hey Kowalski,

I remember that movie, Vanishing Point. It was fun to watch. Fast cars & a naked blonde chick.
