Skyrim theme: the best in-game music ever created.

Don't let them Blame, Shame or Tame you!
Give 'em NOTHING, not even an answer!

That style of the music (if it sounds like the Lord of the Rings soundtrack) finds its stylistic roots in Carmina Burana by Carl Orff. Orff was a wild man and innovator, and set to music some pornographic texts written by rogue monks from the middle ages. Highly influential for film scores, and now apparently video games:

"Once you’ve taken care of the basics, there’s very little in this world for which your life is worth deferring." -David Hansson. "It’s not when women are mean or nasty that anything is out of the ordinary. It’s when they are NICE to you that you have to be on high alert..." -Jackinov.

I’m also a fan of this one. It is badass in a more classical way:

"Once you’ve taken care of the basics, there’s very little in this world for which your life is worth deferring." -David Hansson. "It’s not when women are mean or nasty that anything is out of the ordinary. It’s when they are NICE to you that you have to be on high alert..." -Jackinov.

You know what’s even more amazing? Almost all of this is just scribbles on paper brought to life by musicians. Hard to think that something written can translate to something so majestic.

I’m a Russian Classical music fanboy. Something is just so emotionally captivating about the music. It’s the acoustics that really get me.

Though I do enjoy colonial style architecture, it just seems …Forced? Maybe even a bit chinese in its execution. More like a copy then the original. Or just way to much patina for me.

But by far, my current favorite will almost always be this masterpiece.

This track. This is the track that god would play if creating the world.

I’m no stranger to the local symphony. I once got the treat to see Valentina Lisista play Totentanz by List live in person. Heavy metal on piano.

Most intelligent men have good tastes, or at least a variety of tastes. I always appreciate the rich culture around here.

Pistol Pete used to grace us with some crazy organ music. I could tolerate about 10 minutes of it a week but I was grateful for it. LOL.
