My rugged flip phone s~~~ out on me cause I didn’t have the AUX plug in all the way while I was swimming looking for an aerobie. So I decided to upgrade from a basic rugged flip phone(Kyocera DuraXE?) to a rugged smartphone(DeWALT MD501). Damn phones don’t use the same SIM card so I had to do a trip in to get a new SIM. The same chick that took care of me a year ago took care of me today.

Anyways, soon as I sit down she starts grilling me “Where do you live?”, “What do you do for a living?”, “What have you been up to the past year?”(so she remembered me), “What are your interests?”(Whatever the f~~~ that one means). I’m just thinking “Damnit, I just came in for a simple SIM card change, some supplies and get back out to the island.” Whole time she’s acting like she’s having issues getting the 4G LTE network to work. She calls a co-worker over to assist her and as she hands the phone back to me after resolving the “network issue” it’s on the Add A Contact with her name and number already typed in and says “If Wolverine ever needs help with anything he should give me a call.” I said “Thanks” and out the door I went.

Now it’s time to go into Sams Club and stock up on some Bulleit Bourbon, ground beef, pork chops, lamb chops and veggies. If weather permits I’ll be gone another 2 weeks but now I have a smartphone to get on here during my island down time. Only so much you can walk a beach, look for shells and fish.
