Asian Dating Sites: Read this before you go there.

I’ve been living overseas, in the Philippines (PH) for three years.  That’s boots-on-the-ground and still managed to stay single despite an onslaught of super hot, sexy filipinas bending over backwards to get to the front of the line.   Not because I’m any chick-magnet.  But because Western men are highly sought after in the Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Brazil, Costa Rica and Vietnam.  Women in their 20’s who want a western man who will treat them right and in return, treat him like a king.

So I know a thing or two about dating women from the islands.  The first introduction men have to all this are the asian dating sites.  I’ll lay it out right now, with no delay;  “Asian Dating sites are for when you are one week from arriving in that country.”   In all reality, you don’t need a dating site to meet women in most of SEAsia.   I could write for days how many times I’ve picked the hottest girl in the mall and in less than ten minutes have both her number and a date lined up.   Those of you who have been to the PH know what I’m talking about.  The asian dating sites make things convenient, but with a bit of charm and courtesy.. doors open up to you overseas like you would not believe.  It’s the exact OPPOSITE of what happens in the west with feminazis.

So.. here’s my warning; “Do not spend weeks talking to girls online.  You will regret it.”  Wait until you are a week from getting on a plane there and then line up 5 or 6 hotties to meet when you arrive.  If you begin chatting them up months in advance, two things will happen.

1)  They will immediately try to lock you down into a relationship, online.. sight unseen.   Competition is fierce among these women to bag a western man so they will want promises you are only talking to them and arriving to meet her only.  So.. wait until a week before your flight.  Get acquainted just enough to say, “When I arrive, I’ll send you a text and we can meet for dinner.”  She will say, “Yes!”.  I guarantee it.

2)  The sites are rife with money scammers.  I’d say about 90% are looking to build a bonding/romance just so they can begin hinting they need money for some emergency.  I’ve heard from so many guys who went through this, some of them not realizing they’d been scammed until several thousand dollars later.

Instead, just line up a few a week before your flight.  No time to assume any ‘relationship’ has begun.  Meet them for dinner and it’s like fish in a barrel.  Most of them are amateur-pros.  A few are in it for real so, don’t be a dick and go around breaking hearts.  There are plenty of ‘players’ on those sites, no need to lead a good-girl on just to disappoint her.

I also live as an expat in Asia, but not in the Philippines…

I can’t really speak to the question of dating sites there as I’ve never used them – or ANY online dating sites for that matter – although I would caution anyone considering them.

Where I live we have  – by far – the hottest looking women in Asia, but, like all women, they are emotional, superficial, and more than demanding…Hookup-wise, you’re probably OK; marriage potential – ‘Danger Will Robinson’…!

I’ll throw out some observations as I wend my way further into the site (I just joined…), and hope I can offer up some worthy/worthwhile material to what has become a ‘go-to’ place of refuge for me…!

I’ve come to the strong conclusion, after interviewing hundreds of expats online and in person, that there is zero ‘upside’ to getting married, whether in the west or even in SE Asia.  In the West.. no need to preach to the choir here.  In SE Asia, yes.. lots of fantastic women who would make great wives.. loyal, loving, sexy.. everything a man desires.

But, apart from ‘true love’ and wanting to settle down, raise a new family.. there are no practical reasons.  No financial or immigration benefits other than fewer visits to the immigration office.  (offset by the cost of having a family)   If a man meets the love of his life and wants the traditional structure of marriage.. more power to him, I wish him all the best and a happy life.  But if a man still wants variety even into his 70’s.. best bet is to stay single.. no committed relationship and as the committed bachelors all say here in the PH, “Rotate.  Rotate.  Rotate.”   A carousel of lovelies who know up-front that it’s all about paying their college tuition or partial living expenses while making themselves available on-demand.  Perhaps throw in some random one-nighters among the many pros and amatuer-pros looking to pay their boarding house rent that month.

But for those guys looking for ‘true love’.. I tell all of them the same thing;  “Know her in person for at least a year before making any commitments.”  You would be surprised how many guys I know who propose marriage after some young cutie rocks their world for 3 months.  Happens way too often and then, a year later.. they want to go back to the variety again.  And that is when the drama really begins.

Any dude who would turn his back on pussy is just one horny night away from going gay.
