Greetings to all, I’m new here, and I’m here to listen and learn.

I’ll be as brief as possible. When I was in Junior High School, the time when most young men start wanting to see naked women, I was curious how it all worked. You know, how do I get from point A to point B. It was all new to me. So I started asking around. “What’s a good way to approach the young ladies in my school?” That’s an example of my line of questioning. Essentially I kept getting the same type of responses. I have to ask them out, pay for lunch at the school maybe, etc.

I thought it was weird. This was in the late eighties and very early nineties by the way, so yes I am a forty something. I couldn’t reconcile the facts in my brain. The state I live in had a female governor at the time. We had a very competent female senator too. There was a female principal and loads of female professionals in the city where I lived. I simply kept asking this one question, “why is it that I am expected to pay when women can do everything that I can do?” No answer was ever given. So I just said to hell with it and continued to spend what little money I EARNED at the arcade and on comic books.

Later on I was in high school. Things like homecoming came up. I asked again, “Why am I expected to pay for tickets to the football game, buy her an expensive mum that she’ll hang next to the mum another guy got for last year, pick her up with gas that I bought, and then maybe buy her dinner on my dime with nothing in return?” No answer was ever given. Plus I worked for minimum wage at the time, so do the math, I wasn’t making much money.

Then I went off to college. Lots of parties, lots of easy women. Lots of fun for this guy. I thought, “This is great, no strings attached encounters with hot chicks. This rocks!” I saw other guys bending over backwards for their so called girlfriends who would inevitably dump them for some chump d-bag after several months. Or sleep with a guy like me on the side and never tell their so-called by friend. Yeah, I still never got a response to why I was expected to pay when women can do everything that I can do, which means that they pay for their own stuff.

Then I got a full time job and focused on me. Years passed. I got involved with hobbies, saving what money I could and ensuring that I survive in this crazy world of ours. I watched as the few male friends that I had sacrifice their friends and even their identities to get married. The same chicks who where giving it up for damn near free just a few short years before where now raising the price. It was horrifying in the few cases that I saw. So I checked out of the dating scene. That was over ten years ago. Sometimes I think about dating again, but I digress. A friend of mine called me some time in the last year or two and said that I had a lot in common with these people who call themselves “MGTOWs.”

So here I am. A fellow traveler of sorts. I am here to learn from the people here. And from what I’ve seen so far there is a lot for me to take in. Thank you to all of you who have contributed and will contribute.

To all of you who have read this far I thank you. May the gods of MGTOW shine upon you and grant you success in your dealings.

Welcome and ‘why’ is a question philosophers are still debating.

Ask any feminist who should pay on a date the answer is always ‘the man’. They don’t see any problem with equality there and in fact will ridicule a man who won’t pay or wants to split the bill. As if their c~~~ is in such high demand they are deserving of a free meal, meanwhile jumping on a dirty Chad’s c~~~ because he is an alcoholic drug dealer.

I’ve had a few women buy me drinks although I detest the bars and don’t drink much and let me tell you it is a rare thing to behold.

I went to a bar with these stupid girls and we all ordered a few rounds. The waitress didn’t ask who’s tab it was or how to split the bill, she just automatically charged me like 100$ because I had 3 drinks.

I was such a blue-pill simp, I wanted to refuse and pay only my share but my mangina brain payed anyway. I got back at the bar by ordering a few more drinks then slinked away with out paying. lol

My first girlfriend: I was 13 she was 16. Christmas was coming up and we all know what that means. She wanted ‘a teddy bear’ ‘a necklace’ ‘chocolates’ and ’12 long stem roses.’ I was 13 and had a goddamn paper route.
We were dating maybe 3 months.
I couldn’t believe the cost of 12 roses so got her one rose, a teddy bear and some other f~~~ing thing. It cost over 100$ – every damn cent I had.

She got me a 10$ bottle of cheap cologne. I felt so used, confused and upset but couldn’t understand why. I was that conditioned by TV, music who knows what ever the f~~~ else.

Best to say ‘no’ and ignore them all.
Don’t hurt your brain figuring out why they are selfish and want the best of all worlds and will still complain.
They can do it them selves.

    Welcome!

If women ran the world = It would become the shithole you are seeing.

Wow, Dixie. You were already MGTOW. Tom Leykis would be proud.

    Enjoy your life!

Dixie Reb, welcome. I am forty one years old. Never married, no kids.

Why? Because we just want. We want to explore. Find new things. That’s what man does. FVCK REALLY, he just does. Just does to do it.
It’s how we learn, by empirical evidence.

Our primal instincts are so strong that when they kick in, not so many of us have the ability of pausing for a bit to think before following them.

It’s like having a superpower when, as a teenager with raging hormones, you can pause for a bit and question why you have to do all those stupid things just to gain access to a mere meathole.

Most of us had to learn really harsh and painful lessons before we could eventually put things into perspective.

    You’re a lucky man….

Welcome to the forums. You’re in the right place.

My brother make you no follow sheeple o. Look them and Go Your Way.

For the sake of honesty I will say that I did do some stupid stuff when it came to women. But it was nowhere near what others did. I never moved in with a woman, never got engaged, knocked one up, etc. It still boggles my mind that in today’s world any man, or young man, just doesn’t get it.

    Welcome, man.

Now I live in such freedom where I make my own money and buy things I wanted to buy. Not some cute knick knacks to please a woman. So, you’re in the right place in terms of this forum and your position in life.

Welcome. MGTOW is a statement of practising self-ownership. You are already there. No need to learn what you already know. You could teach a thing or two. Kudos.

Great intro. I wondered many of the same things during my upbringing in the South. Never got a great answer, so I remain unmarried, and enjoy the f~~~ out of life.
Always nice to have another southern man around, anyhow.

    Welcome Bro, and great intro.

“Why” in the most important question to ever ask. I wish I had learned to ask it, and more frequently/insistently at a younger age.

Keep asking, and keep traveling the path you are on, which sounds like a dogged pursuit of reality.

I keep telling my daughter that “why” is the most important question, but she NEVER asks me “why” about anything. I guess it’s a uniquely masculine trait. See my signature

Thank you. The amazing thing about this forum is that so many of us on here have had such similar experiences. That’s amazing. It also shows that the feminists are loosing. Even better!

Hey I like your input. What I have seen out of many women is them asking “what?” Meaning they’ll seek out the what of something, what kind of guy he is, what type pf money he makes, what is in it for her, etc. Now when it comes to the actual UNDERSTANDING of a thing, the how’s and why’s, well yes that does appear to be a masculine deal. Seeking truth and knowledge that is.

Welcome man. I like those Stars and Bars.

The Stars and Bars was flow by people declaring their independence from tyranny and for a way of life that was threatened. Just like the original patriots of the Colonial Era. Many of my ancestors fought in both wars. That’s why it’s my avatar, and that’s why I’ll wave both the US flag and the Stars and Bars until the day I die.

Yes, Southern women are the worst when it comes to feeling entitled and demanding to be worshiped. Many are skanks of the lowest caliber plus we are the undisputed champions in the land whale department. The good little church ones are irritating too. Feminism is generally weaker among them compared to ones from say, Massachusetts. That’s a positive though the major cities have more SJW types than the rural areas.

I should know a little about them as I’m a Southerner too. Welcome DR! It took one from Massachusetts to induce me to escape The Plantation.

It’s always good to have more men from Dixie on board though the international reach of MGTOW makes us all stronger. I get to learn a lot from everyone here no matter where they are located.

All true brother. Land whale! Boy is that true. Funny you bring up the feminism angle. I have noticed that some form of feminism has crept into even conservative church denominations. That’s scary.

International reach, I myself include New England as foreign country. But that’s just me. So let’s international in the legal sense and the tongue-in-cheek sense. Either way I keep my powder dry and my mind sharp!

Welcome to the fold bro. We have all asked the question, “Why?”. This simple question is what allows us to transcend this matrix. Once you swallow the red pill, you can never go back. Our gynocentric society has indoctrinated us men into groveling at the feet of women. Well the way of traditionalism is antiquated and no longer a viability. It is just best to go your own way. We are the men who are breaking off from the herd. We are free to discover our own individuality. Learn from us, and find solace here.
