    The government plan is to ban junk food ads, as if that would stop the herds of blubber-beasts from stuffing their faces and motivate them to leap gracelessly from their browsing chariots and start doing some exercise.

    I originally saw this story on the TV news.
    I had the sound off and thought they were doing a piece on horror movies and had hired Blade to edit it.

    What enables them to live on expensive junk food and loll around all day is large amounts of other peoples money.

    It grates to see articles declaring that – inevitably – ‘it’s not their fault’ and that ‘they are obese because they are poor’.

    In the real world, poor = no money = cheap vegetables and no or minimal meat and sugar. Which oddly enough also = healthy diet. Britain was never healthier than when there was wartime rationing.
