Indeed. It would be great if all male celebs adopted the ‘hand hover’. The message sent would be loud and clear. This is what we really need to see happening. I’m hoping that this attitude catches on. This needs to become a universal thing with all men…

This very morning, I was walking to the store about 30ft behind an overweight plain-Jane.

I know that it’s unrealistic thinking, but just imagine the message that we would be sending if ‘absolute zero physical contact with women’ became the norm in our society. I think the ‘hover hand’ is a way of making an amicable and socially appropriate gesture while at the same time saying “I don’t trust you not to try and manipulate the dysfunctional anti-male biased legal system to destroy me”. I like the message that it is sending. The man is telling the woman that he capable of exhibiting his friendly and cordial nature but he is not going to actually do anything that increases his legal liabilities.

Standing with “arms folded in defiance” can make others think that you’re just deliberately being a rude and antisocial prick…
